wasn't impressed with the SCAR, looks aside the thing is way too bulky for what it is, trim off the fat it could be a decent rifle. The Magpul/Bushmaster ACR oj the other hand is one well designed piece of kit. The rumor mill at SHOT has it lined up for production with a chance of export. I'll save my pennies for one rather than the FN abomination.

The G36 is quite light, likely the lightest rifle of the lot that I handed there. Also got a chance to shoot the FS2000, the dam inspection port on top of the stock kept trapping my mostache hairs and yanking them everytime I fired the gun!!
The DSA booth with all of the tricked out FN/FAL's is what turned my crank.
Low volume prototypes are currently made in Belgium. Will likely move to the US for full production.I think we'll probably have an easier time getting the new ACR into Canada than the SCAR, especially with FNs close connection with the DOD. Does anyone know where the primary manufacturing facility is going to be for the SCAR? If its outside the US, we might have a decent shot, if FN-USA builds 'em, I don't think we'll have a chance in hell of ever seeing one north of the border, unless something drastic changes in the US State Dept.
Any news on HK's civvy version of the 416?
GSG-5 should be reclassified sometime soon... if you're interested in a .22LR MP5 lookalike.
Did someone mention GSG-5?
