Dillon SDB new to me project press, have some questions.

The fellas are right, the locator pins, shellplates and some other parts of various caliber conversion kits mix and match. There is a Dillon spreadsheet somewhere that lays out conversion kit part #s, makes it easy to see what can swap to make what is needed from what's on hand, or locally available. Locator buttons on the 450/550 conversions and the SDB are the same too.

Sometimes you gotta just order big once, and eat the shipping. The Dillon reps have no problem pointing out what commonly goes on their gear, and on the SDB, they addressed it mostly with their SDB spare parts kit. Plus you save a bit getting all those small parts as a package rather than piecemeal. I keep stressing the kits, because I have a couple of these presses, and spares on hand has been essential.
 
Update; Great community here, love it! A gunnut not too far away has a spare 9mm powder funnel and locator pin and is willing to part with it !!

I was missing a seater stem for a 38 sp die, and having problems with the wire ejector on a 550, both sent to me no charge (if memory serves). Highly recommended customer service. Forster and Redding have also been top notch for customer service as well

The cross reference numbers are in the back of the manuals that come with the presses. I under lined a lot of them so I could quickly see what I could make work. I can cover a few calibers by using parts from different conversation kits. The brass pins I have made up out of brass rod on my lathe.
