Same as last year, Mathews VXR 6mm easton FMJ 125 grain slick trick.

Wolf muzzleloader 100 grains Triple 7 FFG pushing a .44cal 240gr Hornady XTP @1860FPS. A 125 yard shot, the little guy only went 30 yards.

Whitetail doe at about 50 yards with my CVA Optima muzzle loader using 70 grains of BlackHorn 209 pushing a Hornady XTP Mag 240 grain hollow point.

The shot was almost perfectly broadside entering just behind the right shoulder & exiting about 4" further back on the left side. Took just the top of the heart off. Not sure she made it 50 yards.

Taken plenty of deer, but this was the first one with a muzzle loader for me, which is kinda cool.

Couple of mulie does , each at 200 y and about 3 sec apart. One between the eyes and the other in the boiler, both DRT , 6.5 Grendel in a Howa mini. Sweet deer rifle.

Been a while but 6.5Swede. 120 grain Speer sp. Whitetail buck. Through the ticker. Went about 5 paces and flopped down. Sporterized surplus rifle

Two whitetail does with 7MM TC Prohunter and 2 whitetail bucks with Traditions Nitrofire ML.

Been a good year.

First deer.
Only took 70years! LOL

White tail doe. Orillia, On. Second day of hunt. 10am.
60-70yd. shot. Ran 100-125yd. in snow. Lung/chest shot.

Ruger Stainless Steel Guide Gun and Leupold low power scope.
Sako Super Hammerhead ctg. in .308 180gr. that I got as a present last year.

I wanted to use Ruger 77 Hawkeye SS in .416 Ruger with a Barnes Banded Solid 400gr at around 2,000-2,200fps.
I didn't get the loading dialed in and so was not ready for this years hunt. Hopefully next year or maybe spring bear?

Not saying the 416 wouldn't work, because it definitely would, but here in Sask hunting big game with a solid is against the rules....

So I got a nice 5 x 5 buck this season with my Tikka Battue 30-06 last Thursday of the season. He didn't want to leave the bedded doe alone in the field so I had to take care of business. Approx 225 yard shot and took out both front legs. Worked out well this year.

Sorry to hear that.
I wonder what reasoning went into this rule. Idiots using fmj milsurp?

Really? Does that mean no Barnes bullets?

Fmj is a no go for big game. Fine for coyotes, etc.
Regs state must use expanding bullets. Where does that put the barnes banded solid? Probably in the same category as hard cast lead... I doubt anyone would look twice at that bullet but... The way the rules are written they leave a lot open to interpretation by an overzealous officer.

A young bull elk with my Ruger No. 1S in 338 Win Mag. I was shooting 210 grain Nosler Partitions on top of 71 grains of IMR 4350, lit by CCI 250 primers, in Winchester cases. I was drawn for any-### elk on Camp Wainwright, Alberta. This is an Alberta resident only draw that coincides with the annual deer and moose hunt on the base. There is a three day primitive weapon hunt at the start, followed by two weeks of hunting....when drawn for elk, you get the whole period to hunt, less the two Sundays...there is no hunting on Sundays for anyone, regardless of what species you are drawn for.
A good friend went with me and we headed to the eastern part of the base, which is designated as walk-in hunting only off of the main roads and trails. You may use your vehicle to recover an animal should you shoot one. I had a plan to move west from our starting point and then hook north...the wind was west, north west, so it was in our favor. This area is a favorite for the elk, as they like to cross through there on their way into the Impact Area, where they are safe, as hunters are not allowed in there. We had only been on foot for about 20 minutes, moving from high spot to high spot, when wee spotted two bulls. The bigger one was in some trees and a clear shot wasn't available, so I lined up on the smaller bull and touched off a shot. He spun 180 degrees, went about 20 yards and went down. We walked over, did the picture thing and got to work. We were driving away by 10:00 AM. Registered him at the Check Station and then off to home where we got him hung and skinned. Done by noon-ish.

Small whitetail pushed my way on a drive. Running shot at about 50yards with a 7-08 and 120gr. Ballistic Tip with a reduced load of H4895. Dead on the spot from a lower neck shot than angled into the upper chest. Wanted to find the bullet, but realized too late it likely ended up in the gut bucket.

My biggest buck to date (may be my largest lifetime one, these are rare in NB) …16 Nov 23. 148 2/8 gross. Used my REM 700 North American Hunter Edition 6.5 Creedmoor using Hornady Superperformance 129gr. Anchored him through the left shoulder at 75 yards.
