Posted in the gunsmithing section but not getting a lot of bites.

Looking to get a couple stocks checkered and was wondering who in Canada does it and what others experiences have been with the work done.

Thanks in advance for your help

I would think the best in the country is Stillwater Restorations. I've sent out 6 or more guns for repairs, refinish, and re-checquer, and could not recommend more highly.

I'm not sure if you want a classic wood stock checkered for looks or something practical anti-slip for hunting purposes. If the latter, there's another alternative that you can apply yourself here:

It’s for walnut stocks so partially for aesthetics and partially functionality. But really more aesthetic.

Thank you for the names provided. Very much appreciated

I believe the OP request checkering, not mall ninja crap.

Here’s the one Jacob did for me. It’s not a cheap add, I believe mine was $450 last year. Iv been dabbling in checkering a fare bit the past few years, the price reflects the time and attention to detail that goes into it. At $450, I found it a decent deal.

Please oh please don’t stick grip tape to your walnut stock lol

Grab yourself a set and get at er!
