SS Howa Minis are a reality stateside. This brings us one step closer here in Canada. Keep the e-mails and pressure on Howa and I believe we will be seeing them soon along with possible factory BDL style bottom metal

Wicked.

Definitely gonna take a minute to write them and urge them to shut up, make stainless guns appear here, and take our money lol

I don't believe they are a regular 1500 S/A RJ. I read somewhere they were an intermediate between the S/A and the Mini.
I could be totally wrong on this and if so feel free to correct me.

Your not wrong - Its a lightened version of the std 1500 action - still quite a big BIGGER then the Mini action . RJ

I think there on Trudeau's no fly list. Mini's can be concealed.:p

I read somewhere the superlite action was mid size, in between the regular short action and the mini action. That's why there are no spare magazines available.

So, to clarify, same dimensions/footprint as the 1500 S/A ?

Stockys lists the mini, superlite, and 1500sa as three different inlets.
Stainless is a no brainer and should be an option for all sizes.

And with at least two companies making floorplates for the mini, and can’t keep them instock why doesn’t Howa take the hint?

I don't get this either. Why stick with such an obviously flawed mag system that a good number of owners obviously don't want? At least offer the floorplate as an option.

We must have read the same info somewhere as that was my understanding as well.
Howa calls everything a 1500…from their mini to the 30-06 long action.
They offered the Alpine at one time as well which was a modified and lightened short action IIRC.

Does howa make a true stainless rifle or are they coated?

Howa makes plenty of SS barreled actions, some 1500 long and short actions have been sold in Canada in previous years but zero SS minis have ever been sold in North America until the last few weeks.
Brownells is first to offer them stateside and a few guys over on 24hr Campfire are starting to receive them.
Hoping Canada will see some in the near future, if not we can import them ourselves easy enough from Brownells.

Shooters in New Zealand and Australia have been enjoying stainless minis for years now, they must have forgot we are a commonwealth country

It’s in the works and a factory floor plate was allegedly spotted on a mini this year at their shotshow booth.

One thing to keep in mind is that Howa is simply a machine shop for hire and they can build anything to spec, it’s the importer Legacy that reads English and places the order, and it’s these guys in charge of marketing.

Take a second to e-mail Howa Canada and request SS and hinged floorplate guys. One thing that they have noticed stateside is Legacy seems to respond albeit slowwwllly.
