I like the area 419 hellfire. Next brake I get will be the hellfire match. Insite heathen seems to be a popular choice
Looking to put a muzzle break on my cz 557 .308, suggestions? I know almost nothing about this, just looking to make the recoil a little milder off the bench.. rifle is already threaded from factory 5/8x24 is what the manual says.. thanks in advance.
I just use a piece of hardwood dowel. Keeps tight and doesn’t mark up anything. I have a couple and like them. On a couple rifles which I have the 419 Hellfire match, and pleased with both but they seem louder to me than the heathen!Agreed
Got.one of their g2 brakes with the tuner
Very impressed so far
The least obnoxious brake ive owned so far
I needed to use a strap wrench to keep it tight but after that was sorted all was good

419 is fine
Well machined
But the blast on the shooter will be a negative when the shooter is experienced enough to appreciate watching trace
Also carbon lock up is a problem for many with the design on the threads
Thought I would ask here, as Im looking at building a 20" 308. Im just wondering is, how much jump does a 20" 308 (with lightish bullets) actually do? Are you able to spot your hits/misses without a brake?
I had both, I prefer the insite, no backblast whatsoever, very pleasant for the shooter.
Insite Heathen has a No Questions Asked Money back Guarantee.....thats how I justified my 1st one.
I now have 4.... my next will be a Heathen
Kinda old thread but will chime in.
My best brake is the Fat Bastard Gen III on a 300 Win mag. Tuning the screws on top I can spot my own shots. This huge for me as I shoot alone allot.
