Maybe, maybe not. The 12.5 inch rule is for other provinces as well, not just B.C., lol.
Really?
I thought it was only a BC reg.... which other ones?

I'm not a hunter....yet. If The CLown gets in again I'm sure I'll be forced to so my kids can eat.
I was under the impression it was Alta, Ont. ,B.C. and a few other provinces. Please correct me if I am wrong on this. Now it's been mentioned I'm sort of curious.
Maybe hunters from the provinces and territories could chime in ?
We do not offer handguards. Ideally you will have one of the rifles with the short handguard from the factory or you may have to cut the long one down and do a little hand work to modify and shorten it. Even with the factory 'short' handguard we had to add one of our XB-2 comps to add the length required to clear the front and make the rifle N/R in length.
Sorry ? Yes, a comp or muzzle device absolutely does count in OVERALL length for a rimfire rifle.Interesting point after you established in the other thread that a comp can't be counted in barrel length in Canada. For the 26" overall rule it does count? Subtle and interesting!
12.5Inch(BC special) barrel for the win....![]()
Getting close to the numbers we need to make this happen so I am going to start cutting the blanks tomorrow and we will get started on this batch ( :

You are referring to the BARREL LENGTH for a centerfield rifle which is the continuous length of rifling....
The devil is in the details brother. And Rideau Hall of course.
Here is a link to the POSSIBLE pre-order we have on the website :

Where would I get one of those Handguards??? Nice!!
Contact O'dell and see if they can direct you to a dealer that might have them? That looks like a factory (short) handguard.
Sorry guys, been a very busy week here. Anyways here is your Leap Day update :
qué es esto ? (that's French for What is this ?)

The barrels are now in the shop and I will crown and start to machine the trunnion potion today. It will still be a few weeks so please don't get over excited but I wanted to give y'all an quick update on where we are at.
Kingstermania - Yess, both the XB-1 + XB-2 will fit this barrel and are the same dimensions. One (XB-1) is for large caliber rifles and the other (XB-2) is for smaller calibers like the .22lr
Ass for the shorter hand guards some rifles come with this. It may be possible for O'Dell to bring some in but I cannot speak for them so you will need to contact your LGS and ask them to call or email to inquire.
You are pretty close. These little Derya rifles, with an AR-15 buffer tube and the butt stock fully collapsed it 26.25 inches with these barrels. It is the reason we chose that length, to minimize the extra work of having to pin the stock. If you have the fixed and fluted 'buffer tube' from the factory then it is longer than with an AR collapsible stock.
Please note, since this has been asked many times, you can use EITHER a Mil-Spec or Comm-Spec buffer tube, the threads on the receiver are the same size and pitch. The only difference is the diameter of the tube itself. However, you will need to modify ANY aftermarket buffer tube since they all have a lip at the 6 o'clock position to hold in the buffer retainer plunger and spring on an actual AR-15. This lip need to be removed if you use it on the Derya and we HIGHLY recommend having someone make a custom plug for the front of the tube to better support the Loonie size rubber buffer disc that comes with the gun. Here is a pic of the one we spun off for our shop rifle :
