While not a legal requirement, we do this to prevent guns getting into the wrong hands. Right now anyone with a PAL number and matching dob could just get a gun shipped to them. We still do card for pickup so it doesn't get delivered to doorstep, some are worried about that and put a work address down for example

What is this card for pick up? I had put a different address bc I won't be home for a few days but wanted it delivered somewhere else.
 
So now with several thousand underfolders in circulation, is someone going to design a modification to the Samson Manufacturing cheek riser to work on a slanted Chinese underfolders vs the straight AK they were designed to work with? I bet those would sell like hot cakes!

Why would you even need a cheek riser? The main thing is comfort and if the angle of the stock keeps it off your face that's a win for a folder in my opinion.... if you want to shoot competitive groups your probably better off with a different rifle and clearly a different stock.... :)

The folder will work fine with iron sights and good eye sight, and if your eye sight is not so good maybe run a red dot on the hand guard.

Lol, what freedoms! We are "licensed" to own prohibited items in a country that regularly further restricts our privileges. Also, if they ship to anywhere other than the legal address registered with the RCMP where we are authorized to keep our firearms they then probably become liable if the firearm was fraudulently bought. Or at least will have some explaining to do to the RCMP.
 
Chop the barrel back to put the FSP close to the gas block, thread it for a 74-style brake and slap the side folder on it, and you’d actually have something decent.
 
was wondering that also. but it would seem from video,s it looks solid. so far have not seen or heard of any issues..

Because I have a skinny/bony face and want a little comfort under my cheek bone instead of just a strip of stamped steel with a paracord wrap? There is a reason people make them for AK stocks. I think if someone made cheek risers that allow the folder stock to collapse, like that Samson I mentioned people would jump out of their chairs to get one.

There are two videos on the Type 81 Canada Facebook group that mention there is a bit of a wobble out of the box. The poster also talks about having tightened up his a bit with limited success.
