TIs 4mm spec works out to roughly 2ft 9" at 100m. So yah roughly 30moa of adjustment in a worst case scenario and something id agree is not an issue for 85% of optics. It does however show up pretty quick using old FFP Russian PO, PSO and POSP optics tho. Which for the combloc theme is something many Type 81 owners may be interested in utilizing. That 4mm spec works out to .482 degrees and youd be surprised how precise the human eye actually is. You can EASILY spot fractions of a degree! Thats how humans are able to use irons out to a 1000 plus yrds.

You mentioned above 4 mm is the limit and then you said 3 mm is fine, well, there still is anything between 3.01 and 3.99 mm. Who made up the 4 mm anyways?

My guess is that those rifle were not designed to use optics at all. Personally I think this is where TI failed to disclose the shortcomings of that platform.

They are cheaply manufactured rifles with the aim to function, no more, no less.
 
Ordered in 14th, shipped on 28th, carded on the 2nd and picked up today.

Small damage on the hand guard, that I will reach out to TI about but it’s not bad.

Gun is straight, and friggen cool. Very cool little blaster and I’m stoked I got one!

Also many of you are f&cking insane but this thread has been a part of my t81 journey ❤️

If you think 4mm angular misalignment over 2.5 feet isn’t detectable then you need to get your eyes checked. That’s huge, and very obvious to the naked eye.

9 outta 10 UFs on here or FB pages are bent bud but okay.

If anyone is wondering if the misaligned trunions affects AKs as well, I just checked about a dozen and they were all straight. I also checked the stocks and all of the underfolders had a good amount of up and down play, the best being a polish circle 11 and the worst being an original Russian AKS (underfolder with the milled receiver). The Chinese ones all had a bit of play, even an unfired one

I ordered on March 18th and havnt received the transfer notice yet, I think at this rate Ill receive the MLOK handguard before the rifle lol
