Thanks for the suggestion… I’m hoping that I won’t always have rack it AND have to push the bolt forward to ensure it’s in battery as well.

I had the same problem with the 458 Socom, put in a heavier buffer spring and it solved the problem, I used a Flat wire spring by Strike Industries

I've tried multiple grendel barrels on Renegade and LPC straight pulls. Every single one is sticky AF, and I saw no improvement even after a couple hundred rounds. If you build a grendel the Renegade is a better platform than the LPC, purely because the longer charging handle gives more purchase for extraction.
223, 224 Valkyrie and 300blk are all effortless to extract.

That's the thing, I've got a Grendel LPC and I've rarely had anything sticky go on with it. I was thinking about swapping the parts over to a Renegade because I feel the spring assist would be a little faster and I might enjoy it more. The barrel is an IBI. I guess there is no harm in trying as I've got a renegade reciever set already, it's been sitting around for over a year as I just haven't got to it yet.

Yup, no harm in swapping platforms.
My Odin, MRA and Ballistic Advantage Grendel barrels are all sticky AF. The MRA was utterly terrible. Looks like I should have gone IBI instead.

Just to follow up… I ordered the Strike Industries buffer spring and put ‘er in. Very worthwhile upgrade, thanks for the info Winchester1973 !!
