I just got a Bergara wilderness ridge, that im hand loading for. I’ve heard good things about 225 ELDM, what are your experiences?

I mean its a Hornady product likely it shoots Hornady products well.

I don't own one yet but have heard that it shoots pretty good with all the Hornady stuff. I always start out with a monolithic for hunting. (Barnes is my go too but planning on testing some CX from Hornady shortly.) Then if youre looking at match my favourites are Sierra MK or TMK.

Sorry I am not much help but definitely curious what others have to say.

I've recently stopped using the 225 eldm in my 300 PRC after an apparent jacket failure cracked my PVA Avenger brake. Rifle had just under 200 rounds through it (all 225 eldms) when it happened at the range. Borescope showed nothing, brake was on tight, a dowel check showed that it was machined correctly. The rifle only had 18 rounds through it since being cleaned (all shot that day at the range). Thebonly conclusion i could come to was that I came across a defective bullet. Rifle is a 9 twist Bergara HMR.
The 225 eldms shot well, and I saw good velocity and SDs with N570 (2955fps). Never used them on game, just paper and steel.

I picked up 215gr and 230gr Berger hybrids and will moving over to them going forward. The 215 hybrid seems to get a lot of positive reviews on other forums for hunting, fwiw.

H1000, Retumbo, R26 all will work well as long as your rifle likes the bullets, N565 will also work.

I had great success with 76.0grs of R26 which is book max (75.7) from Hornady, with the 212 ELDX, 225gr ELDM and 210 Berger’s
I used R33 and N570 with the 245gr Berger’s as well

Back in 2021 I watched a friend shoot two big prairie cow elk with the 212 ELDX, one at about 350 yards and the other at 711 yards. The 350 was an impressive 5 steps and fall over and the other at 711 was an instant bang flop, I was so impressed I ended up buying one.
I purchased a Christensen Arms Mesa LR and have not been disappointed at all, I started shooting 212 ELDX and the wife was able to shoot a bull elk at 250 yards with it where he didn't get up out of his bed. The 212 ELDX was shot over N570 powder at a very fast 3050fps, easily shot MOA and I was happy until I lost accuracy and realized the throat erosion was immense due to the N570, I did read about that early and dismissed it, lesson learned I guess.
At one point I did try a box of 190 CX and found them also extremely accurate, I wouldn't hesitate to use them either but the cost is not pleasant.
With the remaining barrel life of this CA I found the 250 Atips to be extremely accurate, basic load work up showed all groups to be very accurate, 1" groups at 300 yards (off a bench) are the norm with them. I settled on the 250 Atip over 75 grains of N170 going a modest 2650fps.
I did shoot a mule buck at 460 yards with the 250atip and was not disappointed, bang flop, there was an impressive but not excessive wound channel.
Currently working on load development with a box of 225 ELDM with 74 grains of H1000 going roughly 2780fps, I shot a slightly larger than 2" group at 300 yards so now its time to see how it does at extended ranges. Fingers crossed the 225s work out, from what I've read and watched online I wouldn't hesitate to shoot a big game animal with the 225s.

Cliff notes, 212ELDXs are good, 225 ELDMs show promise with a good online reputation but the best are 250 Atips.

since I read on CGN that Ballistic CoEfficient doesn't matter for hunting , I would use a 180gr Hornady round nose in the 300 PRC

I had the factory 212 eldx blow up on a wolf with no exit wound on a close range shot. I know its a long range bullet but they advertise it as a projectile that should still work. It worked well on a whitetail buck at close range, I have switched to 210 ablr with h1000. I have good accuracy and great results on a big bodied 4 point mulie and a smaller bodied mulie. I prefer the 210 accubond over the eldx. I have 230 berger hybrids to load develope this summer, I hope my rifle likes them. If I where to use any eld bullet I would opt for the heavier option. I emailed nosler and asked if they have plans to make a 220 or bigger ablr as the 210's are so far in my experience the best all around hunting bullet, I just wish they were a little bigger. Nosler said not at this time for anything heavier than the 210 in 30 cal.

Had a chance to try the new 225 eldm load out at extended distance and it seems to be good. Two same hole impacts at 687yards and three shot groups well within MOA each at 856 and 1020. Wind was howling, I didn’t dial or hold for the wind as I was just interested to see groups but that being said I was impressed with how well they bucked the wind.
Very happy with them so far, half price of the 250 ATips!!
