My shooting buddy and member here had one for a short time . He did not shoot it as well as his 625 browning so he moved it along . He just acquired an other fabarm a N2 siren it has a bit shorter length of pull . Which he says it has a better fit for him . I have fired a few shells from it . It also is a nice handling gun but does not have the interchangeable rib . It is a lot of gun for the money .

Just picked up my Kral ST500 20 guage OU in Bronze cerakote. I have been looking at this for a while. Not too many reviews or pics out there. I decided to pull the trigger on an amazing deal from a smaller retailer (great experience with them!!) Overall the OU looks great and the fit and finish looks tight with no rattles or loose items. Extended chokes, Turkish Walnut, sling, extra chokes, excellent fit. Can't wait to give it a whirl this weekend on sporting clays!

Sad story about this beauty is that the stock has split on both sides just behind the receiver, and stoeger Canada has basically ghosted me on a replacement.

Taking hints on where to find a new stock!

It was stiff to break it in, now it’s got a smoother action at least. Such a convenient grouse blaster. It was inexpensive enough to not mind beating up in and out of the side by side.

Nice gun!
- How's the fore end held in place? You just push in the hole to remove it?
Just place your finger between the barrels and metal forend tip and pull downward. To put it back on align the forend iron into the receiver and push the forend up against the barrel lug and it just snaps into place. Exactly the same system as the Parker VH I own.

Not a Best gun today, far from it, but just an honest well-made basic side-by-side.

To my delight, my two sons-in-law became interested in British boxlocks, and picked up some lovely 12-bores from Intersurplus. I had maintained that a decent second-hand double could be had for much less than they had budgeted for, and they chose fine guns intended for occasional trap fun. I then realized that I did not have a boxlock side-by-side with which I could join them, to make up a 'boxlock brotherhood' as it were. Putting my limited money where my mouth was, I chose the cheapest British side-by-side on offer, a no-name gun that lacked decoration, but appeared to have good bones (for less money than a trip to the grocery store these days). Once in hand, to my surprise, the gun was Belgian in origin, but re-proofed in Britain for the British market, hence the proof marks that led to the erroneous description. As far as I can tell, it was made by Janssen Frères of Liège, around 1960 or so. Plain, plain, plain, but well put together, nicely balanced, and without any handling faults. I quite like it, and it would have taken grouse had I been in sufficient health to hunt this year.

There are bargains to be had out there!
