A lot of people cite the .308 T81 (NAR10 or CS/LR14) that did/does exist, but from what little I've heard of it, it's not very accurate and may as well have been a prototype. I'm not sure how many were made or if any were even exported, or if TI could even acquire them for sale. They had the T81 SR made special to order and it had to get it's own FRT since it's a different receiver from the standard Type 81, and I'm sure that was possibly difficult enough for them already.
I'd like to see a Type 81 in 5.56 (EM355) come to market but I'd assume a mix of C21 (despite existing prior for the American market, before Norinco was banned from the US) and other potential factors putting a damper on us getting any Type 81s outside of their native clambering. I just want an 81M without paying scalper prices man.
