Welcome to the ATF SBR-9 restricted FRT 197619

Can't wait for this!
Be prepared to wait for this.
The "decision" to switch from 3D printed polymer to milled aluminum was essentially a veiled scuttling of this project as "requested" by the "authorities". There is a good reason all the companies that made aluminum Glocks no longer make aluminum Glocks, it's friggin hard to maintain manufacturing tolerances on thin aluminum and aluminum cracks much easier than plastic. Making sure the FRT is set in stone (365 days+ old) before the firearm is release to the public is good for all but the impatient.

When did this happen? I didn't see mention of this on the thread at all. Or I missed it lol

A couple months ago they posted in this thread that the RCMP requested they make the receiver out of aluminum and that they need more time to get QC and manufacturing right.

This is par for the course with IRG

If they had something worthy of an update they would and will let us know..... the "are we there yet" kids will just have to hold on to their horses and save up their allowances and paper route money.... :)

Got the feeling this is a big circle jerk and won’t happen due to the upcoming Feb 2025 ban hammer gangbang.
Or, they will be made in the next few months, sold in the US and many units will be tested in the field with thousands of rounds, after the next election we may well see imports of either a proven unit, or a mark II model..... :)

I like the way you think. Hopefully this is so.
