Buckle up!!!

He'll wait until 26 Februa

I will believe it when I see it.
Sellout Singh has been saying he would go against the government for months and never does.

I bet there won't be any no confidence vote from him before he gets his pension.
He does this because he wants more stuff from JT - if he was a person of honor he would have voted in favor of non-confidence 11 days ago.

Well, seeing as he released an official statement on official letterhead I think its pretty much a done deal. If he walks back on this now its tantamount to political suicide. Sell out Singh might be a P.o.S, but at least we are going to the poles in early spring. Lets hope he gets voted out as well as the Libtardians.
Do your part. Campaign, volunteer, donate to the CPC. It will all help to deliver the crushing defeat of the far left socialist liberals we all desire, and finally get us headed in the direction of recovering from the last 9 years. So much work to do to fix what they f$&ked up.

The dips who voted Singh aren't changing their votes. I'm certain he wins his seat so not sure about this pension thing. More to do with the fact the NDP are broke or really in his position as leader of a party like that who cares when or why there is an election from his perspective.

Handguns will be non-restricted (is that what you want to hear?) I think it is very smart of PP not to divulge anything that would give the left talking points - hang tight until he is elected
Exactly. O’Toole was doing great during the last campaign til he hinted to going back on the “assault style” bans. That was the pivotal moment when he lost. Which is nuts for a country that didn’t really have an “assault style” gun problem, but scare the sheep and guess what happens?

Scare the sheep? The only people who got scared by O'Toole flip-flopping on the gun ban were gun owners...

Goodbye Suther, I have nothing against you, I just can't tolerate your leftist crap anymore. I know....you don't care LOL
It's pretty obvious he is on the wrong gun-site with his leftist views. In saying that, let him spew his verbal diarrhea, it's sometimes very entertaining how Liberal he really is.

Yet he thinks he's a Conservative because he owns a few guns!......:) LOL

Bezos is playing space cowboy while the people who do the real work in his warehouses and delivery trucks are pissing in bottles to avoid getting fired for working too slow while barely being able to afford a roof over their head. That is why I care.

For every billionaire there is hundreds if not thousands of working class people being exploited. That is why I care..

We live in a world where the working class is falling further and further behind, while the ultra-wealthy see their wealth skyrocket. That is why I care.

From 1984 to 2014 the poorest 50% of Canadians saw their share of total income drop by 28%, while the top 1% saw theirs rise by 52%. Since the 1970s productivity has outpaced wage growth 3 to 1 despite the fact that from ww2 to the 1970s they kept pace with each other. That is why I care.

I don't understand why so many people around here seem to care more about billionaires than they do the working class. I can't figure out if y'all are secretly very wealthy yourselves, or if you're just easily duped into fighting against your best interests...
I'm one of those people working for one of the aforementioned billionaires and I built a very decent life and raised a family that way. Free will employment my friend, no one is holding warehouse workers hostage. Everyone is free to work harder, improve their predicament...or leave. We shouldn't collectively feel sorry that someone has to piss in a bottle, I did and it made me try harder! The world needs space cowboys as much as it needs ditch diggers

According to the Canadian Taxpayers Federation:

45k a year at 55, going up yearly due to indexing, 54k at 60, etc etc.

If he lives until 90 that's potentially 2.3 million dollars for 6 years of 'work'.

You think he's going to leave that money on the table? Nah
So the higher they make the inflation the more they get. Smarter then they look I guess

No one is being exploited, unless they were forced to take that job at gunpoint. The part you seem to be missing is that the government you so fervently hope will save you is the same power that made the billionaires richer in the first place.

I don't particularly care about billionaires. But I do care about people believing the bullsh!t spewed by Marx about the poor, exploited working class. It simply isn't true and if you want to help the poor, downtrodden masses you would stop empowering government.

Nah, I'm centrist. I've no problem with reasonable levels of wealth and success. But there's nothing reasonable about billionaire levels. That's just greed personified.
As soon as you think you are qualified to start deciding what is 'reasonable' or not you became a communist.

I strongly disrespect Jagmeet and his politics.

That said, let me play devil's advocate for a moment. I'm just wondering what is the real deal about his pension's 6 years threshold everyone is hyping about? I tried researching how much pension an MP actually gets after six years of service, and honestly, the numbers don’t scream “luxury lifestyle.”

I hate to count someone's money, but for the sake of argument, this is what Jagmeet would get:

MP Annual Pension Calculation:
$185,800 (base salary) × 3% (accrual rate) × 6 (years of service) = $33,444 per year.
This amount is indexed to inflation and becomes payable when person reaches the age of 55.

Am I missing something?

Now, his official net worth is about $78M. I guess, at retirement this amount will be much more. Having those money invested, his income would easily be like $5M-$10M, making $33K a pocket change.

I mean Jagmeet might have quite a few evil reasons to do what he does. But having that level of wealth, why would he embarrass himself one more time for the sake of getting a few extra pennies? What you think?
These narcissistic dirtbags would roll their own mother's for pennies... you forgot to add that to the equation.

so jan 27 call election, but doesnt happen for 5 weeks so 1st week of march we vote. hope pierre keeps promise first week and reverse bans and not say" well i cant do that just yet.... maybe after a year or so.

I didn't realize he was worth that much..wow. also take 33k every year and invest it in high risk scenarios with good pay packs. It wouldn't be long before he was making millions per year from the 33k per year with nothing to lose since it's free money
Do you mean "invest it in liberal, low risk scenarios with excellent pay backs?"

I agree.
(some) of this current generation want everything their parents have earned in half the time.
Some expect opportunities to literally fall out of the sky.
Regardless, the only thing holding back each individual is themselves.
