Most dealers in the states are under orders not to sell direct to Canadians, as they don't want to undercut their Canadian dealers.![]()
I have been talking to two local dealerships, but their rudeness just floors me! I think I just might as well buy used, and get parts shipped in, than deal with these guys, I can see the round out that they gave me over prices, that dealing with them on a warranty would be some song and dance production
Then there is the matter of service at your local dealer. He will provide it to you but HE WILL TAKE CARE of his customers first - hey its their livelyhood Just like buying a new vehicle out of town and then expect your local dealer to go to BAT for you - dont think so. Prices make a difference but sometimes the long term pic doesnt. If its exteme $$$ difference yes shop around, see if your local dealers can come close.
ITS always your call as you are the one spending the $$$$$
What breaks on an ATV? Mine is a 15 year old Honda fourtrax 300. Oil changes, spark plugs, and the occasional break pads. I need a dealer and warranty for that?
Its not like the warranty is a long time anyway, usually 1-2 years depending on make. They won't cover any wear and tear, which is the most damage done.
I know the Artic Cat dealers go to states to buy Atv's and resell here as I bought a used 2006 700 and a state trooper previously owned it , it only had 13 miles on it.
