2 weeks ago I purchased my wife a new Blued Blackhawk in 357 mag with 4 5/8" barrel from Kopp's Guns in Humboldt SK. It cost 479.00 before taxes and included shipping, he had to order it in but it took less than 2 weeks for the order, transfer and the ATT. It was ordered on Feb 11 and my wife had it in her hands on the 23. If I could have made the time we could have picked it up on Feb 21. He is one of the last dealers who buy direct from Remmigton so his prices are generally competitive with the bigger guys like Wholesale Sports on most products. He is a great guy to deal with and any time I can support him I will. He doesn't have a web site so If anyone wants a contact number for him shoot me a pm.

Good price you got there Chuck! I think Wholesale wants around $500 for the same gun..... Ruger is one of the few companies from the States that have goten more expensive as the US dollar has gone down....:(

Though, I can't argue with your logic here.... I have a couple of 12(6) Model 19's, but when I picked up a 6" wheelgun myself in .357 Mag it was a Model 586. But I'm still stuck on the patridge sites [personally, I don't care for the 'red ramp' front site most common on 586/686]..............'Course it'd be hard to get a 586/686 within his budget of $400-$500 these days, too. Even off the EE....

Given his original question, for me, it still would be a Model 19, though. And since I can have 12(6) it would be a 4" with plain black sites....;)

The Model 28 Highway Patrolman comes up from time to time in the 400-500 price range. It's a N framed .357 and handles really well for a 'big' gun. I was lucky enough to get one for 400 + shipping about a year and half ago. :)

Dan Wesson 715 is you can find one (I did). My next is going to be a S&W Model 19. I love shooting .357. Most 44 Magnums are too big for my hands. Would love to shoot a .357 snub. Anybody can help me out in NS?:shotgun:

+1 one the 686, i just got one two days ago, a 5inch, 7shot with the unluted cylinder and i love it!

i'm not really that much into revolvers but i wanted one for my collection so i decided that if i would only get one i would spend a bit more but get a good one!
