I've stumbled on to a decent cleaning solution that I use in my vevor wet tumbler. 1/2of a sunlight dishwashing pod, 1cup of vinegar, and 3cups of warm water. Add just enough brass so that it is fully immersed. set your timer for 45minutes and then rinse 3times while agitating the brass with your hands in a bowl. next step is putting the brass back into the tumbler, add about 1tablespoon of turtlewax wash n wax and fill tumbler to immerse the brass. the wax prevents the brass from tarnishing. Run for 15minutes and rinse 3times and let the brass dry. you can towel dry it a bit to help prevent water spots. right now I'm experimenting on using a blend of carnauba wax to use as a non removable brass case lube to use in progressive loaders. will also try it on rifle brass.Already have a Vevor wet tumbler and my 15 yr old Lyman dry tumbler, but want something for taking out the lube on my rifle brass

I cleaned a carb in a ziplock bag. Hot tap water and cleaner in the bag. Take all the air out of the bag. Fill the tank with cleaner water.Ultrasonic question. If I wanted to clean something, could I put it in a tupperware/ziploc/jar in cleaner and have that jar/bag/container sit in the water? Save me from using 2 litres of cleaner for a small item? Google is telling me mixed results, so any real world experience on here?
Yes, I put small parts in a glass jar and fill with whatever specific cleaning solution for the parts. The jar goes into the basket of the ultrasonic, the ultrasonic is filled with water.Ultrasonic question.
