CZ 600 Alpha 7.62x39 CGN promo - $354 discount + free ship!

Thanks for posting your initial impressions of the rifle Ipscshooters, I like that you note its lightness. With it being chambered in 7.62x39 recoil won't be a concern.

I echo your comment on the zipper sound that the Ruger American makes, my Predator in 22-250 does exactly that lol. I will say I still like the Ruger as it shoots factory sub moa all day long.

And odd that your CZ bolt was in the fired position. Thanks for posting the link on bolt disassembly, assembly & dec0cking!

I'm going to put a Bushnell Engage 3-9x40 MilDot MOA scope on it with Weaver Grand Slam rings, both of which I got on clearance some time ago & were sitting on a self...

In the end, this package will be very economical coming in at:
Rifle: $595
Scope: $109
Rings: $24.99
Total: $728.99 in Kanuckistani "in the toilet" dinar.
HST exempt ? ;)

I’m holding out for a wood one and having iron sights installed. Always kick myself for missing out on the 527 and not paying collector price for a used one now

CZ has released a "Plus" model that has a different quick barrel change setup and no doubt they will be introducing it across the entire line in the near future.

The quick caliber change was a nice feature that got side swiped by user error within the CZ testing environment when someone had a kaboom due to not torquing down the bolts properly.... the new system mitigates that and makes it more lawyer approved for North American markets.

Hopefully when they introduce the "Plus" to the other models they also figure out how to make the Trail model 1 MOA.... :)

The old 527 were nice, specially if you bought one used for 10 years ago for about what this one is selling for new.... but I much prefer the bolt handle and the lower angle of travel that the newer guns have. Magazine looks better as well as the erganomics of the stock to me.

Thanks for the great deal! a welcome surprise! I almost missed it ... Your store continues to put various items, stuff + gear, bullets, powder etc. on sale and I have been happy to purchase when + what I need ✔

This CZ600 Alpha sale was a great opportunity, especially in a time where things are tight for most folks👌

And the 4221 km cross country journey of my CZ 600 Alpha has started... Now NO LAUGHING, but all packages that come from the west 'seem' to fly by Ottawa & go 2 hours too far East to Montreal, only to be re-rerouted back west to Ottawa... Something funny is going on there for sure, probably QC Canada Post pumping up their freight numbers... Regardless of their backroom deals, I only have ONE thing to say...

Come on Canada Post!!! LOL

Disclaimer: Map is for representation purposes only, this firearm IS NOT going south of that international boundary!

Major distribution centers - former CP employee here who worked in distribution center

Why not Toronto then?
Toronto doesn’t do the Ottawa sort - I worked for one that would send to Toronto we would send local mail from our city to go to Toronto to be sent back here for delivery . It’s the way the operate it , and how it comes in . It very well may hit Toronto and will be put in a bin for Montreal to be sorted to drivers that head to that area , it’s shipping logistics they do central sorting hubs and will send your item there from Toronto as is the next central sort hub before sent to your local warehouse facility.

Basically you’re package will always hit the larger central sorting facility even if it by passes you on the way , my assumption is they find out it faster / cheaper to bulk ship to large distribution centers and sub-contract the trucks to the areas within that area

I hear ya & appreciate the explanation, and I'm certainly no logistics guy, but it doesn't make sense to me to bypass Toronto, Ottawa and send a parcel on to Montreal, only to re-route it back to Ottawa which causes 4 hours of additional 'travel'...

Mine showed up today.

I've been a Tikka guy for the better part of the last decade. So I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to certain things. Bolt throw, bolt smoothness during travel, triggers etc. They set the bar very, very high for rifles that are reasonably attainable for the common man. All things said and done, and in their price range, they are, in my opinion, the best you can get.

That being said, I really like this CZ rifle. Wayyyyy more than I thought I would. Slicked up the bolt with some oil and she's pretty smooth. Brought the trigger down to the 1 setting and it's comparable to my Tikka's with aftermarket trigger springs in them. The bolt lift is a little more stiff than I would like but that's a minor thing.

While I didn't need this rifle at all, I'm very happy to have picked it up from you guys for an unbeatable price. It's most definitely worth more than I paid for it. Now it's time to find a good scope for it and get it sighted in for spring bear. Thanks again Nechako!

9.3 Hunter, nice pics! Question, the rifle seems nice & compact from your pics... So I have a question...

I had another look & I have 3 scopes that I could put on this...

Bushnell Engage 3-9x40
Bushnell Elite 3200 2-7x32
Leupold Vari X 1.5-5x20

I was leaning towards the 3-9x40 but now the 2-7x32 might be a better fit if it's a more compact rifle? What do you think?

Definitely lighter and more compact than I expected so your instinct on a lighter scope is sound - my eyes are junk so I'm looking for 3-9. How do you like the Engage 3-9 over an older elite series?

IMHO they are about the same? I prefer the duplex reticle in the Elite 2-7 over the mildot in the Engage 3-9...

I think it will just come down to what looks right on the rifle when seated in the medium rings I have...
