Just purchased a winchester 94 RCMP 100th aniversary edition from a fellow gunnut. The rifle came with the original box and packaging. He claims the rifle has never been shot, but i have my doubts. Did winchester package these rifles with a zip tie holding the lever to the stock to keep it from moving like he claims, or did someone put that zip tie on after (dont know if they even had zip ties in 1973) ? also (unsure of terminology so please bare with me) the inside of the gold plated reciever where the shells are fed into looks like the gold is flaked off possible from loading shells, and the end of that black peice that you push in to the reciver to load shells looks like its worn on the end from loading shells. Could this rifle have been fired in the factor? Am I just paranoid? Will try to get pics up later. Other than this the rifle looks 100% new. The inside of the barrel doesnt look like its seen any bullets. Its a 2 digit serial number RCMP not MP edition. Wondering approx value, fired and unfired.
