Just wondering how many of you have more than enough or not enough rimfires in your safes. I currently have 3, used mostly for hunting /target shooting and I guess for a little bit of novelty!!
2- Remington 597 (camo synthetic, Laminated stainless)
1-Savage Mark II-G.

I have too many .22's
I'd like to get down to just 2 .22 rifles.
My bushpig that takes the beatings (currently a mint Sears 8C,but i might get another 10/22 after seeing matt_p's )
And a top of the line target gun like a high dollar anchutz biathalon style rifle

Ruger 1022 with MG42 stock kit. Plinking is FUN.

Toz 78 Scoped, how could you pass up a new accurate 22LR for 100 when ARMRUS was going out of business. Now that Winchester making it, replacement parts and mags W00t

Marlin70 HC, First gun I bought before I knew about the 1022, When CT sold guns.

I got a AR15 22LR upper. With 2X 30's and 1X10 rd mags...

Then I got a Ruger 2245 and a TC Contender Pistol with a scope in 22LR

- A Remington 597

- A Cooey Model 600

I am a firm believer in the K.I.S.S. method when it comes to .22's. They should be cheap, reliable, and fun to shoot. Both of the above rifles fill out my needs, and that's fine. I plan on getting a .22 WMR rifle sometime in the future, either another Remington 597, or a Savage. Some .22 pistols are on the way as well.

I have quite a few: Mainly just love rimfires. They are fun, relatively inexpensive to feed and great for starting out a new shooter.
Some of these are super accurate rifles, some are just accurate. Don't keep 22's that don't shoot!

Like Ronin, I have too many. Here's why:

When I started, I knew I was going to have at least 1 .22 rifle (how foolish I was then!); I wanted a "cool" semi-automatic back then (in my younger days), so I got the Henry AR-7. Of course, it refused to cycle on most anything I fed it (until I much-later discovered the solid-nosed Minimags, bless 'em and CCI), so I then proceeded to purchase my second .22, a solid boltie...

I love my Rem 512. It will eat anything - even Remington ammo! It shoots accurately, is stubbornly reliable, and is just a gem to shoulder. Plus, its got the whole .22 short/long/long rifle thing going for it. It is my go-to rimfire. However...

There's a nearby range that allows air-rifles and single-shot .22's, so I got a Savage 3B for me and a Cooey 39 for my sister to shoot there. Never been to the range yet (naturally), but I've made sure the 2 have seen ample "backyard & basement" action. By the way, while I was looking for that second rifle ...

I ran into a little difficulty trying to buy that Cooey 39 - thanks to the CFC, the friendly CGN fellow discovered it was still registered to his father-in-law. Now, here's what makes this a great site, and the people on it wonderful; the excellent CGN'er instead offered to seel me his beautifully oiled, absolutely lovely Winchester Cooey 60 at the same price as the 39, because of the mixup and travel involved - he is a credit to the site and, if he allows it, I'll post his name later. So that was to be my last .22, but....

There's a Nylon 66 I bought as a fixer-upper and I am now wanting to sell. It had buttstock damage that I was pleased to be able to fix (I like working with plastic), but now it's just sitting there, as I am (admittedly) frightened to strip the bugger down to its internals.

So, there you go? ;)

I think Eagleeye wins for the most so far :)

I like .22s for plinking, hunting, more plinking, introducing new shooters to firearms and they are just fun to own and reasonably inexpensive.

My list right now includes:

Ruger 10/22 Customized, built in about 96/97 when 10/22 customization started becoming popular.
Ruger 10/22 - Customized, I call it my CGN special as most of the accessories and upgrades done to it were purchased from CGN members.
Ruger 77/22 - 22lr
Ruger 77/22 - .22mag
CZ452 Varmint - .22lr
Marlin 917V - 17hmr
Marlin Papoose
Marlin 39A
Henry Golden Boy
Henry Lever Action
Browning BL-22

Pistols:

S&W 617
Ruger Mk III Bull Barrel
Kimber .22 1911 conversion
Ruger Single Six

One of these days I will take some pictures for the post your rimfire thread as well as go into more detail on some of them.

Quite a few. I kind of like old .22's, but have a 10/22 for serious gopher shooting. I'll likely buy more older ones as they pop into view.:p:p

13:

Winchester 52
Anschutz 54
CIL 190
Feinwerkbau 2700
Valmet Finnish Lion
CZ 452
Marlin 2000L
Brno #4 Custom
Marlin 917 HMR
Ruger 10/22
Remington Nylon 66
No name brand .22lr
Cooey model 600

Top ones are more for target shooting, bottom ones are plinking, hunting whatever.

- A Remington 597

- A Cooey Model 600

I'm the same way, plus I have both rifles and plan on getting a Sig Mosquito. I also have a Ceiner conversion for my AR, if that counts.
