I'm looking to get a bolt action .223 that I can run the bolt fast on. I only really have use to a indoor range so something under a 24" barrel would be preferred. I was also planning on putting it in a MDT Field Stock and was looking for recommendations. It doesn't have to fit the Field stock but id prefer an option with M-Lok or picatinny rails. Thank you for the help.

The Ruger American 5.56 rifle is a very good start. The model which takes AR magazines is preferable to whatever Ruger thought would be right. The Generation 2 stock has adjustments that the Gen 1 stock does not.
I was looking in to the one that takes AR mags but it seems to be sold out most places. Also, do you know any stocks for the Ruger that will give M-Lok but still takes AR mags.

I've had my eye on a Mossberg MVP for a while though there's some complaining about the bolt on those. Definite cool factor though.
I got my mvp predator new in 2012 or 2013, sold it to a friend but got it back, still have it and love it, but alot of people complain about the bolt i just stopped recomending it, as someone jumps on that everytime

Plus hes wanting to change the chassis, the mvps action is probably closer to a 22lr rifles in size, then it is a cf action lol
Youre pretty well stuck with the stock it comes with, which was fine with me

A Henry Supreme. If you want fast... a lever is way faster than a bolt action. Takes AR mags and is sub MOA with the right ammo. Can get a Ranger Point rail to replace the front wood stock for the MLOK.

This will be alot more expensive than the other options suggested.

I run my ruger ranch 5.56 Gen II pretty fast.
The AR mags were a big seller for me.
I had a Gen I and liked it too.
The Gen II has several worthwhile upgrades imo.
Red dot, LPVO, and compact magnified all work well in my experience.
As of a week ago they had them at Prophet river if i recall but i imported mine thru IRG.

Edit: i tried the magpul hunter with the AR mag but it was heavy AF.

So i run mine in a MDT LSSXL.

I'm a huge fan of Savage rifles, MDT chassis/magazines. Having said that I think a Ruger American that takes AR magazines would fit your needs.
I was thinking about getting another savage because I have one in .308 but, I can’t seem to find a .223 savage axis 2 with the accutrigger. I assume it because it’s discontinued. Im looking at the savage axis xp but don’t know if the trigger is as good as the accutrigger.

The savage without the accutrigger have a trigger that is not great. Which depending on the gun may be giving too much credit. Replacing the springs is cheap and available from multiple retailers, or you can adjust on your own. Mags are cheap feeling and expensive, so an option that takes STANAG mags is a better option.the bolt throw is also not great. But the savages are cheap and go on sale often and shoot very well
