Its the fault of CGN absolutely not necessarily the mods. You think for a minute GT didn't think about all the old timers with antiquated email addresses being locked out for good. Hes not stupid. CGN could have flagged every page with "CHECK YOUR EMAIL" and change it WITH INCLUDED DIRECTIONS. People locked out now don't know how to do it. So once locked out, its over... Not only that even if they did TRY and go back into CGN they cant because cookies wont allow you to. You have to either log off or delete your cookies. You think my dad who is long gone could do that? Not a chance. The old timers made CGN what it is with their attendance and common sense which is lost today. Is there any gratitude to those folks now locked out. No. Was there an attempt to retain the old timers? Yes, but not nearly enough.

You got a PM about the password change and was said twice to update your email.

I mean Tiriaq and other mods, are pushing 80 and can get with the times, and change their email, not blame the site for not keeping upto date on your method of communications. Or cater to a few members that barely contribute. Not saying you don't, but alot of dozen post old members.

I mean there is what 5 locked out posts, vs how many other members ? I know many OGs that gave up on the site, only because it was toxic and full of drama, isn't like it was back in the early 2000s. Not that CGN tried to retain.

Honestly, times are changing, and you need to adapt. Look at phone companies phasing out LAN lines and such. In another 10 years, you'll going to see alot of people struggling because they don't want to get with the times. Companies cannot cater to a dying generation. Everything is electronically and barely stuff mailed anymore.

Seems to be the enhanced security as even back in 2018 to change address you needed a code but only emails to the old account.

There should have been a flag stating (IF YOU DONT GET A CGN EMAIL, UPGRADE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS SO YOUR ACCOUNT WILL NOT BE BLOCKED. I put in a service ticket to CGN with my correct email etc. Well see if they actually do something that is simple to do. I will post if i am successful.

I hope youe successful, but I still dont understand why you feel it's CGN's job to chase after grown men like a baby sitter to make sure their account has the correct info in it.

How about a literal banner that has been there for months, now displaying a thing about keeping your email up to date..?

If you're the expert on what is and isnt simple to do on this forum platform, riddle me this: Would it not have been significantly more simple to just keep your stuff up to date on your account?..

The mods literally sent PMs to your account and emails to the address YOU provided. It just sounds like you dont want to inform yourself by choice or negligence. The dates on posts for the new forum setup are 11 months old but now its incredibly important you get your internet account back, with attitude.

There were many warnings posted and sent to you, your info is out of date. There were banners and posts... If you ignored them because there were 25 store ads on top before you saw gen firearms discussion etc thats on you, if you were here at all.


This is like not updating your mailing address and getting mad at someone for shipping to your old address.
