Started reloading for 6.5CM, have staball 6.5 and n550, have shot TGK 130s quite well, 120 Barnes ttsx also quite accurate.
Curious on people's opinions on 130s vs 140s for hunting. May pick up some 140 TGKs to try
Relative to the burn rate of the two powders I have and the fact these are to hunt with, which weight would you recommend?
Thanks 🙏

Put the bullet behind the front shoulder and make sure the impact velocity is where its recommended and stop worrying. Use whatever is the most accurate in your rifle. Most lost game ,wether its admitted , is not because of the bullet but because of poor shot placement. YEEES I realize that certain bullets have tighter parameters under which they work but in my experience a Trophy Bonded is a pretty good choice.

N550 may be better suited to the 120/130gr weights, I have used it with 140gr but the load density isn't as high

StaBALL 6.5 pretty good do-all powder burn rate for the Creed

The 140 class bullets out of the Creedmoor typically do less damage, because they are going slower. Although bullet construction plays a big game in that department. If he is shooting lighter Barnes then they won't do as much meat damage, as a cup and core bullet, or even a bonded bullet.
