That I do not own a trap gun...I sold my last one today, a Browning BT-99 Max High Grade. First time I have not had a trap gun since 1986, the year I took up registered trap and bought my first dedicated trap gun, a Remington 1100 T Trap.
I rarely shoot more than a few hundred targets a season the past few years and now after moving a year ago and not having a local club, the closest being 70 minutes drive I just didn't see the need to have a dedicated trap gun any longer and to be fair I don't shoot it any better than my Browning Maxus Sporting Clays which is my main waterfowl and skeet gun. Now the Maxus is going to have to serve triple duty and fill in when I shoot trap.
I've always heard the old adage "beware the one gun shooter" and I recall seeing a few guys like that over the years whose model 12's, 870's and 1100's served them for all manner of shotgunning. Now I'm joining the ranks of the "one gun" shooters.
Some doubles shot on the weekend with the Maxus with Shotkam attached.
Out with the BT-99...

In with the Maxus...
