That I do not own a trap gun...I sold my last one today, a Browning BT-99 Max High Grade. First time I have not had a trap gun since 1986, the year I took up registered trap and bought my first dedicated trap gun, a Remington 1100 T Trap.
I rarely shoot more than a few hundred targets a season the past few years and now after moving a year ago and not having a local club, the closest being 70 minutes drive I just didn't see the need to have a dedicated trap gun any longer and to be fair I don't shoot it any better than my Browning Maxus Sporting Clays which is my main waterfowl and skeet gun. Now the Maxus is going to have to serve triple duty and fill in when I shoot trap.
I've always heard the old adage "beware the one gun shooter" and I recall seeing a few guys like that over the years whose model 12's, 870's and 1100's served them for all manner of shotgunning. Now I'm joining the ranks of the "one gun" shooters.😬

Some doubles shot on the weekend with the Maxus with Shotkam attached.

Out with the BT-99...

Well bud you know I have a stable full so when you need to scratch that itch again you know who to call :ROFLMAO: model 12, Krieghoff, Perazzi, CG take your pick :ROFLMAO:

I sold my last trap gun a few years ago, but I never did shoot a lot of trap. And truthfully, I could shoot my Maxus or my SX-3 for skeet and sporting clays, and probably shoot very similar scores as with my K-20, or F-3.

Come to the shoot in Castor this weekend, and I'll lend you an 1100 for oldtime's sake...

You boy's have fun in Castor this weekend, I usually head down for a day or two and shoot there but it conflicts with Allan shoot this year and I'm heading down to Jimmy's at Allan this morning, shooting starts at 2:00 this afternoon, 3 day's 900 rounds between the thunderstorms and wind it should be fun

Shooting is an addiction that all serious shooters enjoy. And, that means getting a serious gun. Serious shooters need a serious gun. Nuff said.
My buddy that wanted the gun has sent it back. I had told him to take it and make sure he was happy with it before any $ exchanged hands. He tried it for two days and it just isn't working for him so it's on it's way back to me. He could not get it to adjust to his preferred POI (he likes a VERY HIGH patterning gun) so now I have a decision to make. Was it coming back a sign I should keep it? Or should I move it again?

Tough decision, for sure. If it works for you, I know what I would do.
I remember when a shooting buddy got his first adjustable rib trap gun---it wasn't fun watching him struggle through the adjustments.
