Accurate shooting from a bench

I took the action out of the stock, and realized that I have a Jewell trigger installed. I have lowered the trigger weight, and will experiment with free recoil and see if that improves consistency. I shot some good groups on the weekend, but its requiring way too much effort, and it shouldn't be that way. It seems like the slightest changes in pressure against the stock change the point of impact, so I am going to try absolute minimum of contact, and a light trigger.

I switched to my AICS chassis with homemade heavy bag rider, and the results are much better than the Bergara HMR stock. It's rock steady on the bag and stays on target after firing. Much less effort to hold rock steady. The results on the paper reflect that.
