lars larsen antique guns

I can’t give any feedback on his business practices but I can confirm that him and his business actually exist, not just a mysterious online scammer. They do attend some gun shows.

Laugh all you want at my prices but I was always told you can come down but it's pretty hard to go up in price. They are what they are until you show you're not a tire kicker.

To be fair the whole antique market is in a wild place right now, I wouldn’t personally say I’ve seen any of your listings that stood out as more outrageous than anyone else.

There’s a guy trying to sell an average grade Thunderer in Ontario right now on GP for $3500, which has been a weekly breakdown from $4k, he’s also trying to sell a prepackaged case of 41LC you can buy from Rustywoods for $300 at $400.

Mind you I sold a refinished Thunderer 6” barrel for $6k last year so no shame. It’s worth what someone’s going to pay for it and they aren’t making new antique revolvers anymore.

Antiques, so hot right now.

Good for you on the thunderer! Those can be a tough sell due to their finicky nature. You are absolutely correct, willing buyer willing seller.

I purchased a Hopkins and Allen Dictator from him for $500. It was totally functional and had some sort of homemade Bakelite grips that were actually pretty cool because they were a period-modification, not recently done. It wasn't the prettiest Hopkins and Allen I've ever seen but the price was right for a fully-functional Suicide Special. As long as you're not expecting a Bargain, I would say his prices are in-line with what most of the other dealers are selling Antiques for.
I went to his storefront in Barrhead, I think it was. He operates out of the back of a jewellery store. He was good to deal with, I had no complaints. He showed me some of his other Antiques for sale. Most of them weren't exceptional, but they were all functional, for sure.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Antique from him, if he had something that I wanted. He is legit, that I can attest to.

I think you are correct. Average to below average condition antiques combined with top dollar prices. 32 RF Colt Newline in average condition for $1,500, hahaha,
Ah, the general quality of available antiques is seriously wanting. I couldn't believe the very poor examples in the last couple of gun shows. We are definetely in the era of mostly rubbish availability. Hard to get around that without paying a significant premium when good ones less commonly pop up. Just glad I got into the game more than a couple of decades ago.
