MRA Renegades back in stock!

16" Renegades will be available from the source (VRS/MRA) by the end of the week and we shipped a big batch of 12.5" and 16" to our distributor so your local gun store should have them soon too!

The 12.5" rifles are now on backorder again. We should have more in 2 or 3 weeks.

We have a couple 19" Renegades and a fair number of 16" Renegades (all in .223Wylde for now) still available.

Were the older posts here on CGN about sticky extraction when shooting steel case or surplus ammo due to Gen 1 not having the 223/556 Wylde chamber that the gen 2's have?

Hi there, no we believe it is due to our chamber being tighter and more precisely machined, the .223 Wylde chamber does have some different angles at the case shoulder.

The .750 Gas seal blocks are coming, we just don't know when exactly as we are having to go to a new machine shop to have them made. We are trying to keep the cost economical...

I used to have a gen 2 12.5" in .223 wylde that would not extract brass cased ivi 5.56 rounds. Had to hammer the bolt back with my fist to get them out.

How do you convert to different calibers? Whats required thanks
It depends on the caliber:
To convert from .223 to 300 Blackout the only thing that has to be changed is the barrel itself; a relatively easy job, two bolts for the handguard and then the barrel nut.

Converting the .223 rifle to 7.62x39 is more involved as you then have to replace the bolt and the magazine as well as the barrel. Still not a big job, just a bit more money on parts. The bolt carrier and firing pin remain the same, although some prefer a different firing pin too for the military ammo.

Same idea for other calibers that will fit in a .223/5.56 magwell: 6.5 Grendel, .224 Valkyrie, .458 SOCOM, .450 Bushmaster etc. it will depend on the parent case and what the case head is compared to a .223.

MOST will require a caliber specific bolt, barrel and magazine, while retaining all the rest of the rifle: handguard upper receiver and bottom metal, stock & bolt carrier assembly.

We try to make sure everyone knows that this rifle is intended for modern commercial ammo, not military surplus stuff. It has to do with the tighter tolerances to get the best accuracy possible from the rifle.
