The "What Have You Reloaded Today" thread

Today I loaded my first 20 rounds of 43 Spanish. I used the Lyman 439386 as cast with 20-1 alloy and lubed with my home made lube. I’m giving smokeless a try while I get my wad punch sharpened up. My charge is 30gr of IMR 4198 and over a Winchester LRP. Hopefully none of the precious Bertram cases split. I did anneal them prior to loading. All this to give my 1879 Argentine rolling block a go.

25 rounds 577 Snider
70 grains fg / 27 grains filler ( 50/50 ffg/COW ) / wax paper disc / milk carton disc / 480 gr solid base bullet / two groves and .045 base relief filled with 70/30 Beeswax/Coconut oil . Though I'd try this lube recipe as it smells nice & nice to work with hand lubing. I set a few small chunks out in the heat today and it did not separate/melt/breakdown. Hopefully it works nice.
( This batch of brass not Magtech .... those cases have a bit more capacity, so take 45 grains filler )
Cheers

I've just finished 400 55 grain fmj, 400 62 grain fmj. Next up 400 50 grain Speer FB FMJ. Processed all by hand, yea I'm kinda done with that caliber. Loading to fill my Milwaukee Packout 3d printed bullet cases. Have to roll about 100 9mm to fill that Packout system, and call it done. Till I start into 6.5 Grendel, 6.5 Swedish, 30.06 Spring, a few 10.4 Swiss then .338 LM. Then I can relax, I think

38-55 loads for a 1901 Marlin 1893, 20 gr. 4198 under 255 gr .381" pc'ed leads

Further testing to see how the pc bullets may help reduce fouling in this old, rusty, rough, slightly-bent 26" octagonal barrel
so far getting ~4" @ 100 with rear ladder sight, and scaring the large steel at 300, but ran out of loads last try.

Very cool! Not too many of those out there.

I loaded those last night, same weight than my more expensive nosler partiton but half the price and I’m sure more accurate but that we will see! Nosler balistic tip silver tip 115gn! They look pretty mean! IMG_3185.jpeg
