The "What Have You Reloaded Today" thread

I have not started reloading for it today, but I did purchase some Lee dies for the new to me 7x64Breneke Browning Acer.
Acquiring some bits and bobs for a winter project I suppose.
I have a Brno in that cartridge. Basically a 280 Rem, but with a much longer throat. I can't seat the bullets out far enough to get near the lands without making the cartridge so long it won't fit in the mag. - dan

Got some of those Peterson long 300 WM cases when x-reload had their sale on. Prepped everything today to try two ladders using N560 and 185 gr target bullets - Lapua D46 and Berger Juggernaut. Had been a bit disappointed with Berger 200.20X / H1000 / Hornady brass (2nd firing) out of this rifle. Will see how things go next weekend!
Finally got out yesterday and here are the results (I dropped the 71.20 gr group in the top-right corner down one since the 70.80 gr group shifted into the intended target). A bit all over the place (fingers were getting a bit numb in the cold, so maybe not the best shooting!) but it looks like the 71.20 gr charges worked best for both bullets. Five-round samples for each, seated 0.002 off lands at 188 yds (actual distance of 200 yd range at Silverdale). For the Lapuas, Avg Vel was 2,882.4, ES 22.7 and SD 9.4. For the Bergers, Avg Vel was 2891.5, ES 15.1 and SD 6.4. Will probably try to refine around those nodes and then maybe try modifying the bullet seating. The next groups might be a bit better as well now that the brass has been fired. . . .

I put 100 resized .308 into the tumbler an hour ago, have another 100 sitting on racks from last night, plan to reload 2-300 rounds tonight with Varget and hornady 150gr bullets (basic plinking rounds). I think I have about 1000 brass all resized, trimmed and dried that sit in a bucket full of silica gel.

I'm thinking of getting a Savage 10TR in the near future with some nice glass to go with it, so I may start upping my game/quality when it comes to reloading these babies. I LOVE the .308 and seem to shoot a whole lot of it.
.308 is a great caliber and enjoy it in my Tikka TAC A1. Successfully used it on 30" steel at 1200 yds.
It is defiantly not as flat shooting as most of the cool kids calibers :) and I do own 6mm and 6.5 pill slingers .
as for drying Brass after wet tumbling i give the cases a through Clearwater rinse and shake off the excess then put brass on old bath towel and dry a bit more . Then into an oven on LOW as it will go (170 F ) on old baking sheet for an Hour - crack the door to let moisture out .
If left in oven for extended period with heat on the case do turn dark gold colour but after annealing they look great where the flame touched the necks .

Did up 99 rounds of 6mm Dasher last night . New rifle and it's great fun . From bore sighting on out to 1088 yds I used 28 rounds to hit larger steel out to 1088yds . 30" round plate at 1088 .
Not bragging to much but it felt great . Have bore sighted other rifles after a scope change and it has taken many more rounds down range to conquer 500 yds :)

I have a savage 110 tactical in 308 in a chassis it is a shooter, with 168smks and 4064 its a 1/2 moa rifle. Those savages just shoot.
For 308 plinking rounds I use blc2 and 748 as its much cheaper than varget around here. also what ever cheap bullets i find at gun shows. I like the HDY interlock 180s as a hunting bullet.

and to not derail the thread. I loaded 20 rounds of 223 with Speer 50grn TNTs to see if they will hold together out of my 1:8 twist barrel. ( been hearing they like slower twists).

well, tried to get some .270Win casings ready for loading, first time working on this cal, had a used die set, should have known to clean it before starting, been a while, had every few cases come out with a dent at the neck, started to pay attention to how much lubricant i leave on the cases, that helped, after 10 or so dented cases and once a while having some issues with pulling the case out i managed to get it stuck really good, ripped the rim off, got to hit the stores tomorrow and get a new set now 😩

Did 30rnds of 243 for my new/old BSA royal.
38.5gr varget, starline brass, cci br primers and 85gr Speer btsp.
3175ft/sec on the chronograph from its 20" barrel and was crazy accurate.
1.5" 3 shot group at 200yrds with a 4x scope.
Still pumped!

Ugly weather outside so after shovelling snow and making some loaves of bread, I loaded 50 rounds of 44 Magnum today. CamPro 230gr over 11.0gr of CFE Pistol. Should have either loaded 48 or 60 instead of 50 since the little boxes I made hold 12 at a time; now I'm left with 2 loose rounds in the can

Loading .223
Found a nice load to finish off the last half bottle of a discontinued powder. I wish this was still around.

Not reloaded yet, but cleaned in FA steel pin tumbler, FL sized, belled out the mouth a bit, inside mouth chamfered 52 32 Winchester Special cases. Waiting for shipment of Primer Pocket swage kit from Higginsons. Hope it will work to make using Ginex LR primers easier to install. Also have a new LEE hand primer coming, plus a case to hold it and the shell holders.

Some Dominion, some Imperial, and a few DCCo brass. Maybe a few Winchester as well. I won't be taking my 32's to the Olympics, so a mix of brass will have to do for killing rock, along with a dose 0f Ammomart 44 and PC'd cast bullets.
