I have a Brno in that cartridge. Basically a 280 Rem, but with a much longer throat. I can't seat the bullets out far enough to get near the lands without making the cartridge so long it won't fit in the mag. - danI have not started reloading for it today, but I did purchase some Lee dies for the new to me 7x64Breneke Browning Acer.
Acquiring some bits and bobs for a winter project I suppose.
Finally got out yesterday and here are the results (I dropped the 71.20 gr group in the top-right corner down one since the 70.80 gr group shifted into the intended target). A bit all over the place (fingers were getting a bit numb in the cold, so maybe not the best shooting!) but it looks like the 71.20 gr charges worked best for both bullets. Five-round samples for each, seated 0.002 off lands at 188 yds (actual distance of 200 yd range at Silverdale). For the Lapuas, Avg Vel was 2,882.4, ES 22.7 and SD 9.4. For the Bergers, Avg Vel was 2891.5, ES 15.1 and SD 6.4. Will probably try to refine around those nodes and then maybe try modifying the bullet seating. The next groups might be a bit better as well now that the brass has been fired. . . .Got some of those Peterson long 300 WM cases when x-reload had their sale on. Prepped everything today to try two ladders using N560 and 185 gr target bullets - Lapua D46 and Berger Juggernaut. Had been a bit disappointed with Berger 200.20X / H1000 / Hornady brass (2nd firing) out of this rifle. Will see how things go next weekend!

.308 is a great caliber and enjoy it in my Tikka TAC A1. Successfully used it on 30" steel at 1200 yds.I put 100 resized .308 into the tumbler an hour ago, have another 100 sitting on racks from last night, plan to reload 2-300 rounds tonight with Varget and hornady 150gr bullets (basic plinking rounds). I think I have about 1000 brass all resized, trimmed and dried that sit in a bucket full of silica gel.
I'm thinking of getting a Savage 10TR in the near future with some nice glass to go with it, so I may start upping my game/quality when it comes to reloading these babies. I LOVE the .308 and seem to shoot a whole lot of it.
I have a savage 110 tactical in 308 in a chassis it is a shooter, with 168smks and 4064 its a 1/2 moa rifle.
