Ammunition resupply would have been a nasty job.

Camo pattern looks to be Dutch.
Could be. These things never serm to retire, they just travel around the planet on the surplus market.
Oh these are cool indeed. They are used in Antarctica, so that tells you something about their reliability. More info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bandvagn_206
Yah, good in arctic conditions, less ground pressure than a human footprint, floats and can do 5kph on flat water... Pretty much an ideal arctic research truck.
It is a mite muddy in that part of Alberta. LOL
Within a coupole hours it was a dust bowl again. Thick clay, the water just sits on the surface until the sun comes up and evaporates it back to the sky.
Neat!

Pretty sure there was one of those up at the Keg River site that AB Forestry had set up where I was repairing Jet-A refueling gear last week or so too.

I’ve always wanted something like that for hunting and general tomfoolery. ;)
Yah, they're kinda all over 5he place up here. A good refurb goes for $60-$70k, and becomes an instant money maker all seasons.
They get used in the patch fairly often, if you are ever near Valleyview you cant help but see them

Yup. Just get a kick out of seeing them still cammo'ed up. A lot get the red paint treatment.
