guns for sale

You have to ask permission, look up at the top for the the FAQ, it'll show you how. Then be sure and start a new thread in the newbie section asking how long it takes to get access, we've only had about 10 of those in the last week. Or you could just wait, it takes about 7-10 days after requesting access, depending on how long it takes before the mods have time to approve the requests.

Maybe just settle in for a little while and get to know various sub forums here. When you are comfortable and have made a few posts here and there go through the motions to get access to the exchange. While there are no rules persay that you should show patience and perhaps join the discussions I think it makes people feel better and builds trust over time for when you do take part in a purchase there.

Tell the truth you guys. It takes seven to ten days because those of us who have access already get notice that someone else is getting clearance, this gives us a week to buy up all the good stuff before it is to late and a new comer gets it all. :dancingbanana:

Thanks for your considered input.......

I like to think it chases just the right sort of people away.

And thanks for your input also S.B. I tend to disagree with you, but I imagine a lot of people do.
As for curtmg's comment. I do agree that it is easy. If you know where to find the directions.
Most of the guys that I know have joined to buy a gun. They join and then can't access the EE. Doesn't make a lot of sense.

Not always. One of my good friends was looking to join/gain access when he was looking to get started in firearms. He didn't hear back for a couple of weeks, gave up, and bought something new elsewhere.

If clicking on FAQ's then on the "how to join" link and following instructions is too hard, I don't know what we could do to make it easier.

The EE will always be controlled access so some application process will alway be in place.

Maybe have the instructions automatically popup with each new registration.

Also 7-10 days is a bit long. 48 hours would be understandable.

Are you volunteering to proccess the applications?

whats all this talk about 7-10 days? I don't remember it taking anywhere near that long.

Maybe I just asked nicely.

What!

REALLY!

Could it be that easy??

Who would have thought that common sense might apply.

To those who think that it should be automatic.......I ask.

How can we KICK people out if we cannot control who can get in??

exactly!! how will all of these multiple banned users over and over again be at the minimal level it is now, imagine if it was not controlled.....it would be a complete nightmare. it takes time to see if it is a new user, or just the jackass they kicked off earlier in the day.

I don't recall anyone saying access should be automatic. Application should be though.
