Writing even that is imprudent and unhelpful to our cause.
By saying it can be done, I know how, but never would or tell because I have respect for the laws of our land?

Actually down there full auto is legal. Not all guns and not for everyone. And the full auto mod for SKS is a 2-min mod you can do on the kitchen table. And no, I won't tell you how, so don't bother PM'ing me. I don't feel like getting kicked off here. Anyone that knows how a gun works could do it. I wouldn't bother here, not cool enough to risk jail time for.
Theoreticaly the rifle could have been recently converted by a class 3 dealer and used as a ''dealer sample''
Anyhow the conversion process as layed out in the palidan press book is exceptionally simple, at most a 10 minute job, bending and fitting a lightning link to an AR 15 takes about the same time.
But if your not a NFA liscened class 3 dealer you are looking at doing some federal time down there.
Theoretically, maybe.. Realistically, I can't see any class III converting a SKS to operate in a way that it wasn't designed to operate. The risk of an out-of-battery discharge is too great.Theoreticaly the rifle could have been recently converted by a class 3 dealer and used as a ''dealer sample''![]()
500gr: Did I ever say any different? Re-read my posts and you will see that I have not.Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you. And full auto IS LEGAL in some states.
Yeah, but how many of them were shooting SKS rifles that have undergone kitchen-table conversions to FA? My guess is none, as it is both illegal and unsafe.
PS: Were you in Knob Creek, Kentucky, by any chance?
There's a Chinese gun that is full auto and resembles the SKS, and there may be some samples in the posession of dealers in the US. But a SKS converted to full auto is unsafe and I don't think any class three dealer would do such a conversion, if it were legal to do so.
A lot of the midwest states like indiana, iowa, illinois for example have severe restrictions on class 3 ownership.I will defer to you, laredo. Iowa isn't a class three state so honestly, I'm not as well versed on all the nuances of the federal law as you seem to be.
Where is this discussion getting our community, exactly?
So have AK rifles been vilified into obscurity by the antis in Canada, or what? I see lots of AR discussions going on, but this is the only AK thread on the first page.
