"Might be a good idea to connect your upper lip to your bottom lip."

Yes you are probably right! I forget myself some times. And the days of speaking your mind openly in Canada are long gone.
We all need to fume, suffer and shelter in our own minds, roll over and give up.

Cheers I won`t be back.

After your little rant back there......I have a feeling the Mod's will take care of you not coming back. I think it's funny, you think you'll leave of your own free will.

Prices mean nothing. Will.give them.nothing and anybody who does is a traitor
Exactly. I hate every single one of the gutless cowards who will turn in your possessions to be paid for with money stolen from your own pocket and from your children.
Every single penny that pays for this comes from your own taxes, and from the taxes your children will have to pay. Every firearm turned in literally makes Canada a worse country in the future, one payout at a time. I hope they give them nothing.

MP Chipmunk stated on the recording that once the $750million allotted is spent, it's a big Foxtrot Uniform to anyone already 'registered' for payment. You can bet by the time the payouts clear Atlantic Canada and Quebec, and maybe Ontario, you can be sure that western Canada will be screwed. And since applicants have listed the contents of their guns safes for the offered '20 silver pieces' - government now knows the contents, which will be listed on search warrants.

Earlier in this thread, a contributor mentioned a dealer "hadn't been paid" after the government seized newly prohibited guns 5 months previous. For 90 of the last 125 years, the Liberals have ruled Canada, either as a majority, or a minority government with the help of Quebec. So once the money is gone, Con-Carney (who's already demonstrated his skill at keeping promises) and Gary, his pet MP Chipmunk will invoke their smug Liberal FU smirk.

If peaceful demonstrations demanding accountability appear, you can be assured that the Emergencies Act will be deployed once again, since angry gun owners will be vilified by the Con-Carney Regime and by the taxpayer funded Mainstream Media as insurrectionists, requiring armed response to the manufactured threat, and midnight visits to the "leaders" of such a challenge to their form of Peace Order and Good Government. You may get a gentler response with a Hamas flag in your front yard.
If the turn in rate is high , they will find more money to keep it going , and get as many guns as money will buy ; who knows , if the program is successful , they may even go further , and ban all firearms in Canada as was suggested by a Poly supporter last night on the CBC news . Government debt means nothing to the Liberal government .

Ending Private firearm ownership is the name of the game now. No allegiance to Canada anymore.

The money is made up, so why wouldn't they keep finding money? Of course they will. And they'll trumpet their success.

I GAURANTEE you that $750 mil they have allocated will be gone faster than they can collect a few thousand guns. Then what?

It's not just the cost of the guns... there's the cost of planning, implementation, collection, transport, destruction etc.

What are they going to do when the money runs out? Spend another $750 mil? Then another?

It's ridiculous... MOST people will not get paid that is a certainty.
Agreed. They said they are capped at $742M and then we get nothing after they run out of funds. They already spent $23M to only get 12,000 guns from businesses...
There are roughly 70,000 Type 81's in country alone right now... and that's only ONE type of rifle banned, of the roughly 2500 makes and models they have banned in total... the math just doesn't work.
The money will be gone before even a tiny fraction of guns are collected and well before the program reaches the west coast too. I honestly bet half of it just goes straight into their own pockets in true Liberal fashion.

That’s 10% of the budget for the type 81 just on its own. If that’s true imagine how many Vz-58’s, cz858’s, mini14’s, m1 carbines, type 97 and m305’s there are out there. Probably several times more for each, they were all extremely popular when they were inexpensive and available. Not to mention ar’s and the 22’s that were on the list. They would need several billion to actually “buy back” all the affected guns at the values listed

All there doing with the 742 million cap is causing panic to turn in guns in hope of getting paid out once they have the guns nobody is getting paid just watch and see how this plays out

Correct. It is well established in this country that while government can take your stuff they have to fairly compensate you for doing so. If the Liberals say the money has run out then legal actions would follow where precedent would be heavily in our favour.
