This is a complete noob question as you can see. I have a Derya TM-22 on pre-order and I want to be prepped for it's arrival. I want to store it legally as I don't want to accidentally break the law since it's my first gun since I got my PAL/RPAL.
Now, here's the situation: according to my research, the Derya TM-22 doesn't have a bolt hold open when an empty mag isn't inserted and I have found due to the flat trigger on the TM-22, most trigger locks don't work on it.
I am hence leaning towards a cable lock - but, since there's no bolt hold open without a mag, I am not sure how that would work?
Is an empty mag being in the firearm qualify as the firearm being loaded? (I've researched, and found conflicting answers. I was about to email my CFO, but thought I'll just ask the community first).
I found an answer on reddit where the OP had a zip tie lock going through the chamber but with a mag inserted (to hold the bolt open) - not sure if that's completely legal.
Note: I don't have space for a gun safe. I am getting a gun bag though, so worst case scenario is to padlock that bag - but I would really like to have a lock on the actual firearm itself as well (just to be in a nice place legally speaking).
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
