How do I lock my TM-22?

This is a complete noob question as you can see. I have a Derya TM-22 on pre-order and I want to be prepped for it's arrival. I want to store it legally as I don't want to accidentally break the law since it's my first gun since I got my PAL/RPAL.

Now, here's the situation: according to my research, the Derya TM-22 doesn't have a bolt hold open when an empty mag isn't inserted and I have found due to the flat trigger on the TM-22, most trigger locks don't work on it.

I am hence leaning towards a cable lock - but, since there's no bolt hold open without a mag, I am not sure how that would work?
Is an empty mag being in the firearm qualify as the firearm being loaded? (I've researched, and found conflicting answers. I was about to email my CFO, but thought I'll just ask the community first).

I found an answer on reddit where the OP had a zip tie lock going through the chamber but with a mag inserted (to hold the bolt open) - not sure if that's completely legal.

Note: I don't have space for a gun safe. I am getting a gun bag though, so worst case scenario is to padlock that bag - but I would really like to have a lock on the actual firearm itself as well (just to be in a nice place legally speaking).

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the confirmation! I read somewhere they don't work well with the TM-22. Could you suggest a good one?

its kinda diffifult to figure out how to get one on, but generally, if you rotate the trigger lock vertically, it works.

Its finicky, but it works.

I just bought a combination cable lock, feed it through the magwell, out the ejection port, and I let the bolt rest against the plastic coated cable. works just fine on my TM-22.

^^ dude, get rid of that trigger lock ASAP. Its absolute junk... I have had to cut 4 off this year since I bought 6 of them. 2 x 3packs.

They work for a short while, until they don't. and you are always at the range trying to take it off when it fails. Save yourself the headache. those basspro ones are junk.

Even if they fitted well. They can be removed in seconds. Every gun owner, had to pick one of their locks, one time in their shooting career. Because they forgot their keys.

Don't need a bolt hold back. You just close the bolt gently against the coated cable.

Thank you, after going through more replies here, I’ve decided to go with a cable lock (probably a combination lock) - I will just let the bold close gently against it.
