I have read a ton of things and have a number of experiences, but wanted to see if you are willing to share your favourite hunting bullet for the 308 Win?

I know there will be lots of caveats, so let’s say as an all around hunting round out to 350-400 yards as a max.

I've had good luck with 180gr Federal Trophy Bonded Tip in both 308 and 30-06 Tikkas. Stable, decent BC, and hits hard. Longest kill I've had was approx 270yds.

Man they all work pretty great in 308. If I’m looking for an “all-around” premium bullet for insurance Nosler Accubond 165 covers most situations and has been accurate in my rifles.
If I’m not worried about “big” animals (grizzly, moose, elk) then any old cup n core will do the job

Well there you have it 165gn cup and core or bonded and you are good to go. Partition is a great bullet but they are expensive! Speer hot cor or even the newish Speer impact they shoot great and are some what cheap if you can find them

My son has killed a boat load of game several elk moose deer bears etc with the 165 federal trophy bonded tip factory load other than that the 150 ttsx is also used to great effect
As far as accuracy we have had great luck with the 180 ballistic tip

For me, it's always been the NOSLER family !!
Asterisks are the ones I have hunted with successfuly in 308 cal.
My choice was 165 /168 gr...**Ballistic Silver Tips**, **Ballistic Tips**, **Partitions**. They also have Accubond's and LR Accubond's. Never used them in 30 cal, but I have used 140 gr Accubonds in my 6.5 swede !
