The little CVA Scouts are a hoot of fun. I have a 350 that i bought because i wanted to try the cartridge without spending $1000 on a Ruger American. It's become my favorite woods walking rifle. I worked up some 250 grain loads with the Hornady Sub-X bullet. Those are fun to shoot. I also have a bunch of 147 grain XTP.... might actually be able to get them to expand at 350 velocities.

I think they would expand and then some. I have some to try as well. Might try to load them subsonic with trailboss. The 250gr are interesting as well. If only we were allowed suppressors up here. I would have got the threaded one for sure.

A 16" factory barrel with a can would be sweet. You could plink for dirt cheap loading heavy 9mm bullets and it would sound like a mouse fart.

Pretty happy with the 9mm results. This is at 25 yards. 115gr sierra hp doing 1200fps. Going to load up some that are subsonic as well. Have some 147xtp to try out. It's not going to win any competitions but would work in a survival situation or in case I get attacked by empty cans in the bush.
