Caring for your oil finished wood stock

Do you folks recommend a light scuffing with fine steel wool between coats ? This thread has me pondering doing some work on a couple of stocks.

If you are building up the finish in the first place yeah. If you’re just after a bit of a refresher wipe the coon #### , leaves and bear tracks off and go nuts.

Just be aware that tbere is a fine line between rubbing a little oil in yourself, and rubbing a little oil on yourself. I don’t judge but if you cross that line you don’t have to tell everybody.
