Who is Using a 28 Gauge, This 2025-26 Hunting Season

Ah, good stuff.Black ducks are the smartest of ducks to fool.Have never been able to bag a gadwall and only one widgeon.

Have seen videos on You Tube, of people doing amazing things with the 3 inch SBE 3 28 gauge guns on ducks, with steel shot.

It’s open here for grouse until mid January, so if we get an opportunity we will go try again. My son had good luck with his SA 28 this year. Really was hoping to use it on waterfowl, but unfortunately we were not setup this year to make it happen where we had permission.

The partridge(ruffed grouse) season is open here until the end of December.Hope to get out for another hunt or two before then.

Hopefully you will, be able with your son, to get out on a 28 gauge waterfowl hunt next year. What 28 gauge guns are you using?

Just have the 1 28 so far. It is a mossberg SA 28. It fits him very well and he is getting pretty good at handling it.

So only one 28 gauge. You must have a lot of will power ,to be able to stay with only one:)No doubt that will not last long.:)Do you have another 28 gauge in mind, that you might like to obtain?
