Trying to get a screw in Canada

I am looking for a screw that will work in an original Colt Model 1862 Police revolver.

Does anyone know if one from a Uberti replica would work?

The screw I am looking for is the one that goes from the bottom of the grip strap and into the bottom of the trigger guard.

Many outfits in the US won't ship a screw to Canada if it is for a firearm!

Any help appreciated.

Unless something has changed very recently, Numrich Gun Parts still ships gun parts that aren't specifically restricted for export to Canada. Their prices may be a bit higher than average for most things, but you'll likely find what you need on their site or by contacting them.

I think first you need to measure the diameter and thread pitch of the screw needed

I would suspect Uberti to me metric, as mooncoon said, determine the diameter and pitch and go from there.
