I've often wondered since these compensators vent the gases forward does it add extra turbulance for the bullet to pass through?

So you dont fill the handguard with soot.

This, I agree. Because the barrel is stupidly short. Shorter than hand guard. He had to fill it with a muzzle break. How stupid is that.

Sure, you do you too. What kind of mind would build a rifle with barrel shorter than handguard and then later to make up the length with a muzzle break. It’s a pure stupidity. That I understand

5inch fake can on this. Muzzle is where my hand rests.

This is back in the days of 15$ brick of dynapoints at Walmart.

I had a Hera Arms CPE chassi for 1911s. Man the channel used to get full of carbon. Wish I had a extended muzzke for that kit. My 1911 when I would take it out to clean was soo dirty.

The muzzle was recessed like 5 inches.

I like how the 12.5” sits flush with the 13” MI handguard.

Thanks for posting these. I wanted a 13" MI for my 12.5 barrel, Assumed with the linear comp it would poke out the end. I don't think I like that for myself

Where are you folks getting your MI handguards? I'm looking for the 8" handguard/chassis for my 9" 10/22 take-down.
Now that Christmas is over I should be able to free up some $$

There doesn't seem to be any jn the Country at the moment. I'd like to do basically thr same build. but with that stock setup it'll be too short to reach OAL. Will need something a little longer

That's unfortunate the hardware isn't currently available.
However, IIRC forum member KDX has his DLASK 9" TD configured with these WI parts and meets the min OAL. Perhaps his is based on the 12.5"?
I reached out to KDX on the "other" rimfire site and his inbox is full here so can't confirm.

I put a bit of white lithium grease on the threads. It will make life easier when or if you decide to change it up.

You can order it from RDSC, Canadian safety source or CSC is really good. I’d call any one of them. Might take a month or so to get here.

Got mine at Canadian Safety Source. It’s in stock.

I would order it from RDSC. I have 100% success rate with them on pre-ordered items.

Any tool i need to get it off now that’s assembled?

Maybe a strap wrench. I just don't want dry threads locking up with a bit of corrosion. I have a nipple I am trying to get out of a 180 year old muzzle loader. After that long, grease or anti seize likely does not work at all.
