I watched Ron Spomer today on this new cartridge. Another fast twist rifling and longer heavier bullets............I'll continue-on with the 25-06.

I guess if you want to shoot a 25 cal mono for some reason this cartridge would shine. If any of the RPM family survives I’m hoping it’s the 338rpm.

Looks like a lighter recoiling, slightly better in the wind version of a 6.5 PRC....I mean 6.5 Rem Mag. Forgot this is CGN!

It's basically same thing as a 308
Hey 308 Win with a 110 gr at 3500fps is no Slouch ! 🤪Who tee Who will tell Ya :D

I can't believe all the hate this is already getting.....lets see your FACTORY 25-06 shoot a 133gr Berger at 3000+fps in a 22" barrel, accurately. It wont. You don't have the barrel twist to stabilize it.

Not everyone wants to re-barrel a rifle to be able to shoot a heavy bullet. And to the "YoU DoNt NeEd A HeAvY bULLeT tO HuNt" crowd......you don't NEED a Hemi in your truck but its nice to have it sometimes.....

Personally I cant wait for this. And I have a 257 wby mag already. Ive wanted a fast twist 25 for about a year now and couldn't make up my mind between a 25-6.5 PRC or a 25 SAUM. I even looked into a 25-06 AI but then you're fire forming and I didn't want to do that. Ive done the AI

I feel like the 25 RPM will shine for the handloaders like me. We all know the difference between factory ammo vs reloads. If I can push a 133-135gr Berger 3100+fps in a 22" barrel i'd be thrilled.

And lastly, heres the Weatherby Podcast explaining their reasoning as to why they did the 25 RPM, why they waited years to release it and why they didn't just do fast twist 257 wby mag.

So the whole benefit is running a 130+ bullet it seems.
I’m not into doing a simple search so who makes a good hunting bullet in this weight range in 25?
Is a 130+ partition available?
What’s the heaviest TTSX?
As a casual observer on the outside has heavy for caliber hunting bullets caught up to the new 25’s?
Not asking about target bullets or rebranded target bullets for hunting.
