Ever change a tire at -36*C... nothing works right, jack, torque wrench or my fingers... got it done while reassuring my daughter it was all good and swearing under my breath... still in my plaid PJ pants, looking like a hobo. Lol.
Yeah, she is all good... the extreme cold built up ice crystals on the pavement. The guy in front of her spun out, so she hit the brakes and then she did a 360 and hit the bank... shook her up a bit. Just blew the tire off the rim and knock a plastic body shield off from underneath. Driving to get to her I noted the roads looked bone dry, but the ice was ninja slick. Just getting out of bed... will check the car out more closely later. Thanks.Yikes. That’s Cold
hope she’s ok

Working at those temps we just never shut the truck off.-32c here at the house. I don’t remember if I ever changed a tire at -35c but got stock in the bush at -50c( yeah you read that right and that is w/o windchill factor) we were looking for caribou on the demster highway and the first night was -35c and all went well, the second night we were down in the Ogilvie River valley at engineer creek and we woke up at about 4-5 am to start the truck … no go of course, so we had a geni so tried that out no go, so we thought no problem, we will start the Colman stove in the tent put the sleeping bag over top as insulation and warm up the geni… long story short nothing was working. We got the maintenance camp and they had to tow the truck in and thaw it out for a few hours in the shop for us to keep going… going back home that is!!
Thanks. My brother was the custom stock maker.nice rifle, custom stock maker should be acknowledged too maybe
