The gun stores keep a log of every gun they sell and you can be assured that when the time comes the government will have them turn that information over to the RCMP revealing who has what and where to find it. As the saying goes, you can run but you can’t hide. Most now prohibited firearms were non restricted , and never registered , so the government has no idea who has them . Just hold the fort until the government changes as no government lasts forever .

Unfortunately we can only import AR variants that were imported to CA through IRUNGUNS originally. If thats the case, we can sell them.I have 2 Colt Canada AR15s. I live in Alberta, so I cannot sell them to the government, I can't sell them to other Canadians and I can't use them.
Can I sell them to Americans through IRUNGUNS?
after 50 years in the hobby,,you learn a few things,,but YES,,REAL gun guy,LOL.Since you seem to know everything cause you're a real gun guy...
Wait it out for what?
Not happening without judicial authority or a subpoena for every Individual case. This has been discussed ad nauseam on this forum. The gun stores keep a log of every gun they sell and you can be assured that when the time comes the government will have them turn that information over to the RCMP revealing who has what and where to find it. As the saying goes, you can run but you can’t hide.
Firstly, the Liberal Government is LAZY FULL STOP. Work in the Investigation on 2.3 million Canadians gun records NEVER Registered are a and will be a Logistical Nightmare. This government can't even fix their flawed Employee Payroll system what ever makes anyone think they (Liberals) can ever have the TIME to ever complete an undaunting task of compiling a list of every gun owner and store records. The gun stores keep a log of every gun they sell and you can be assured that when the time comes the government will have them turn that information over to the RCMP revealing who has what and where to find it. As the saying goes, you can run but you can’t hide.
For many years guns bought and sold privately had no paperwork or verification other than buddy showing you his FAC/PAL.They have no idea where the majority of guns are other than store bought since all the rules changed. Even now with pal verification the gun being sold is of no importance or recorded!! It’s just insuring the purchaser is in possession of a valid license.Edit Other than QuebecThe gun stores keep a log of every gun they sell and you can be assured that when the time comes the government will have them turn that information over to the RCMP revealing who has what and where to find it. What about the various non-AR modern semi autos? XCR/ACR/X95, etc?Unfortunately we can only import AR variants that were imported to CA through IRUNGUNS originally. If thats the case, we can sell them.
50 years into guns would put you in the same age category as me - can you answer the question?after 50 years in the hobby,,you learn a few things,,but YES,,REAL gun guy,LOL.
not some panzy who gives in at the first sign of trouble,
As I see it, wait for a change in govt and gunlaws (specifically handguns), or death.Wait it out for what?
except that if you have nice collectibles,IRG WILL NOT be bale to get any value for them since they will need to be stamped with import marks, and no self respecting collector will touch, other than for pennies on the dollar,50 years into guns would put you in the same age category as me - can you answer the question?

I have a pretty good idea which will be first for folks in our age group.
I have no intention of giving up any long guns, they will have to show up on my doorstep with a warrant to collect my ARs or my generic handguns - the principle here is worth the cost.
But, if one has a large, historically significant collection of handguns, one could not morally hand them over to be smelted.
Ya, they could "disappear" after death, what does that accomplish?
IMO, the better option is to move them onto like minded collectors who will cherish and appreciate them - pass the torch, just as would have been done in this ####ry if one were allowed, and the service being offered by IRG and AAE is an option to allow for that and I appreciate having that option.
AAE - email inbound....
That’s true but, there are ways around that - one of the questions I asked in my message to AAEexcept that if you have nice collectibles,IRG WILL NOT be bale to get any value for them since they will need to be stamped with import marks, and no self respecting collector will touch, other than for pennies on the dollar,
Nothing will be "stamped". It's the month of March of the year 2026 and IRUNGUNS has several high wattage lasers that can burn a hole through a tank. The engraving will be SMALL, straight, clean, and inconspicuously placed. You will hardly be able to see it even after it is pointed out to you. It is not guaranteed that an import marking will decrease the value of the firearm.except that if you have nice collectibles,IRG WILL NOT be bale to get any value for them since they will need to be stamped with import marks, and no self respecting collector will touch, other than for pennies on the dollar,
would you want a rare collectible stamped or engraved,,?didn't think so,and the engraving NEEDS to be visible, and yes,,it most definitely affects the value,Nothing will be "stamped". None of the points you are struggling to make in this thread are relevant when considering one of the other options includes handing over your "Collectible" to be destroyed. I've sold prestine collectibles to active enthusiasts resulting in a Firearm that used to sit around in some turkey-necked collectors safe for 20 years, gets put to use by a freedom loving cowboy! ((!!TARGETS!!)) Remember, not every man on the planet thinks guns are supposed to be looked at. If an import mark decreases value in some humans brain there are 3 others who do NOT GIVE A F*CK. In my experience, the bore condition always comes first. A small import marking might change someone's mind, but unless you're a dealer with no backbone and no balls, you don't need to sell it to a collector that thinks he should get it at a discount. These "Banned Canadian Imports" can and WILL create a market of thier own sir.would you want a rare collectible stamped or engraved,,?didn't think so,and the engraving NEEDS to be visible, and yes,,it most definitely affects the value,
