Which version of the 1301, which weight?I found that the 1301 has more recoil with heavy loads than my 940.

Agreed. My 940 is a keeper! My friends 930 shoots way smoother than my 1301.
I still prefer the 1301, but Mossberg makes impressive semiauto shotguns. I think they're underrated.
Yes, me too. Ol stiff boy dumped 50 Challenger Tactical slugs outta new 1301 the other day, in an hour. Just to sight in and run it a bit, on it's 1st trip outside. Had my light neoprine jacket on. Never noticed any recoil. My 3.5" 400 Extreme, shooting full magnums, is a wee bit more of a kick than this lil 1301.........and it's heavier.......Two armed people complaining about recoil makes me laugh. Thanks guys.
& hadn't seen an elephant or rhino to speak of, around here for a while, so really didn't need it anymore.Yes, me too. Figured it would be next. Just "light" stuff now.......... is enough fun for me...

One FTE on the 3rd round. Since then it's been flawless.
Ya, me neither. Pumps are just safe queens, except my Winchester 1300 Cantalever Rifled Slug baby. That goes to the range once a year, @ $5-7/shot for some 100 yd (not rd) grouping tests, then out for some deer wishing for 2 weeks. Then, back to it's nest until next fall. Had a 940 and sold it. Lil wiggly and not my cup of tea. If your's works good; ya, keep it.Initially I got a 940 Pro Tactical with Holosun 507k.
Works fantasic and love the red dot mounting system. A+!
Then i read i may be better off with a 1301. Got the Gen2, then later sold it up for Mod2 (fyi... both are great). Went with a Tacord mount and Holosun 590t. Works fantastic and love the red dot mounting also. A+!
So i originally got the 1301 with intention to sell off the 940 but 2 yrs later I still haven't sold the 940. They both run flawlessly and i find both OUTSTANDING!
PS. I never shot my 12g pumps anymore.
My longest shotgun kill, ranged @ 75Yrds, with Winchester Partion Gold 385 gr, 2 3/4".Ya, me neither. Pumps are just safe queens, except my Winchester 1300 Cantalever Rifled Slug baby. I brought mine to Casey at Tactical Ordnance and he upgraded everything - I got a Nordic Components MXT extension kit which came with its own spring. Those doing the mag tube extension....are you using the stock Beretta spring or upgrading (ex. like extended spring S&J offers)?

The Kick Off is compatible with the 1301 T.I brought mine to Casey at Tactical Ordnance and he upgraded everything - I got a Nordic Components MXT extension kit which came with its own spring.
The only upgrade I would still love to make is adding a kick off stock. My 1301 Comp has one but the Tactical does not. I don't think I have seen it available for the 1301 Tactical...not sure if the ones that support other models would support it, but then again I haven't looked too deeply into this at all.
Is that the OEM kick off or the Midwest Industries aftermarket? The Kick Off is compatible with the 1301 T.
The A400 and 1301 Comp are the same, the only difference to the T is the receiver is slightly shorter. All use the same stocks. Is that the OEM kick off or the Midwest Industries aftermarket?
Stoeger Canada only sells the system for the A400 and A300 only, unless I am missing something.
OK thanks...I never presumed that I could use them in both only because I didn't see Stoeger selling the system separately. So I can move my 1301 Comp stock to my 1301 T Mod 2 then...The A400 and 1301 Comp are the same, the only difference to the T is the receiver is slightly shorter. All use the same stocks.

Thanks...I am assuming we will have no issues of things being stuck at customs if ordered directly from the US. I wonder why Canada (Stoeger) doesn't sell these.https://www.beretta.com/en-us/product/beretta-kick-off-system-xtrema-ii-C87927
this unit will fit any Beretta synthetic stock made for the 391, A400 or 1301 series as long as it was not a mega kickoff stock. It does however add 1" to your length of pull and cannot be shortened.
