BURRIS SCOPE

The wee remote control can't actually fire the rifle, can it? Looks more like a garage door opener for the lens caps. Reading the text implies it's just a sync-at-current-range control.

deemed unlawful in the BC hunting regulations, unless of course you're going to unlawfully hunt in Morley's prime spot again, gotchu on the game cameras out there snoozin' in the truck while yer buddy bagged the big one

I had the exact thought, as I recall this conversation from about 6 years ago. I looked and could only find reference to infrared and night vision optics, but no mention of range finding rifle scopes. I stand to be corrected, of course.

pretty sure it falls into the same category as the burris bluetooth range finder rifle scope combo, which is what the regs went after initially

A friend in Saskatchewan has the eliminator 5 and is using it on a 6.5creed and whacking coyotes at impressive ranges. He shot one on Tuesday at 666yards. He really likes it. I will use it in a few months when I fly out for gophers/ground squirrels.

you plan on shooting gophers out to 600 yards - nice !!

Haha that would get expensive really quick. I should’ve added that it will be used early morning and late afternoon for coyotes. Have a 204 out there as well as 17 mach11,17HMR and various Tikka,CZs and Annie 22s. We shot from point blank out to 250yards last year. We had two range finders and I used Streelok with my Vudoo. Can hardly wait for our return! I will poke at some for you Ivo at long range!!

When I'm shooting at the gun club there's plenty of time to verify the distance with my rangefinder, punch numbers into the ballistic app, look at the result, dial that into my scope, and eventually get around to putting a round downrange. With targets of opportunity I could see the advantage to having a rangefinder coaxial to the scope feeding data directly into a solver and maybe even have wee servo motors turning the scope for you and have a green light to shoot less than a second after designating a target.

I thought about trying a Burris eliminator 6 but they are pricey and don’t want to be dependent on a battery when I’m calling coyotes at -20. For less than half the price I can pack my range finding binos and dial the distance on my Trijicon Credo. I’m really liking this setup, coyotes not so much.

My dad has one of the early generation one and loves it! Never had an issue with it, mind you he doesn’t hunt more than 2 weeks a year and usually doesn’t really shoot outside of hunting season.
I think it is a nice set up. Heavy, bulky but I heard really good things about them!!

You are not Correct 🫣 They are Totally LEGAL to use to Hunt any game in BC as per the BC s Conservation Services 👍 😀

Now “ Thermal “ capabilities of any kind are ILLEGAL such as as you use on VCI 🤪
