Understood, just know some have a Block in the end to limit lengths !Yeah all tikkas have one size fit all action length.
If it came with a la mag, it might already have a modded bolt stop.Understood, just know some have a Block in the end to limit lengths !
Hearing that I'll need to Alter the bolt stop or swap out for Long one. An be good to go

They file them back to allow the bolt a longer throw back, i soon witnessed why,..What did you have to do to the bolt stop?
I'm familiar with Tikkas and the bolt stops. I didn't realize you had a long action mag for your .308 Win. Might be better off buying a long action bolt stop if the homemade job is sketchy. They file them back to allow the bolt a longer throw back, i soon witnessed why,..
With a long ler magazine, the bullets are further back than the bolt goes- it doesn't pick them up!
My bolt stop wasn't ideal one piece metal- it was sectioned, hollowed out, so I had to be careful , trial an error with how much , so as the bolt doesn't wiggle and slide out on the throw back etc...
You can buy Modded Bolt stop Kits too BTW $ for what it is
If you didn’t know - in Finnish, Tikka means woodpecker. The reason they called the rifle this is because like a woodpecker it drills one hole.lol.I intentionally kept away from tikka's for years. I am a Kimber guy so everything else was heavy crap. Tikka guys were like vegans, you always knew who they were because they were always talking about tikka's..... then one day a lonely tikka t3x 270 win fell in my lap. Kind of a homely little bugger. I made the mistake of shooting it..... Wow, I'll never be a vegan, but yeah I'm a tikka guy now too.....
I love those sights, not something I would have done either. Great brush-gun.kind of interesting to go out of your way to get a battue then take the sights off. Why not get a regular old t3x lite they basically grow on trees.
Here's the run down.kind of interesting to go out of your way to get a battue then take the sights off. Why not get a regular old t3x lite they basically grow on trees.
It's working fine , may need a bit more tuning down the track.I'm familiar with Tikkas and the bolt stops. I didn't realize you had a long action mag for your .308 Win. Might be better off buying a long action bolt stop if the homemade job is sketchy.
This certainly doesn't seem to be a Woodpecker! If you didn’t know - in Finnish, Tikka means woodpecker. The reason they called the rifle this is because like a woodpecker it drills one hole.lol.
